    I stuck to plan yesterday which was a good thing because for some
    reason I was so hungry!

    Today I am eating:

    Breakfast - cheese & mushroom omelette with baby plum tomatoes
    (hea+free+free) plus an orange (free)

    Lunch - HM vegetable soup with bacon and egg bap (free+free+heb)

    Dinner - chicken and mushroom stir fry using 1 tblsp extra virgin olive oil
    (free+free+heb) with chocolate scan bran cupcakes with custard for dessert
    (8.5 syns)

    Snack on fruit and yogurt during the day if hungry around 3pm.

    What do you think?

    Love
    Marion

    Looks good to me, nutritionally balanced! Similar to mine today, except I'm having:
    ham n cheese toaste for brekkie (HEA & B);
    mushroom & tomato omelette for lunch;
    s/c chicken & veg soup (1 syn for parsnip) with baguette (3.5 syns) for supper;
    and quark, berries, and fruit for snacks.

    I feel like you about SW, wish I'd joined years ago too, one lady at my group's lost more than 14 stone!

    Have a great day everyone,

    Jay xx

    ETA: Well done London:T :T

    I am happy to help Victory, I am a huge:p fan of SW. I am not sure how to post links but there should be a 7 day plan here: http://www.slimmingworld.com/healthy_eating/free_trial_menu.aspx

    Red days or original days are days when you can have unlimited amount of meats (timmed of excess fat), most vegetables and all fruits. Bread and high carb stuff like pasta and spuds and dairy products are limited to 2 choices of each category as health extra choices. Dairy = hea (healthy extra a) and Carbs = heb (healthy extra b)

    Green days are days when you can have unlimited amount of rice, potatoes, pasta etc but your meat products then are limited to your healthy b choices for that day. Remember bread and cereal are always healthy b choices on both days and are never free! You also choose up to 2 hea choice every day as well.

    Just to complicate things a little once you get your head around the basic plans you can then start to have mix2match days! These are great and I love them as you can choose to have either a red meal or a green meal on the same day!

    Syns are extras you can have as treats or just to make your meals a little more interesting such as tomato sauce, cook in sauces etc. Or alcohol:o! You should choose between 5 and 15 syns each day and it is important to have these as they help you stick to the plan better as you don't feel deprived and they also seem to have some role in stimulating your weight loss as I and others have noticed that if you don't have all your syns your weight loss slows down!

    The only word of caution I would give you Victory is that if you have been on a strict diet for some time, you will not have a big weight loss the first week on SW that a lot of new dieters will have. Indeed if you have been having a very restricted diet you may even stay the same or even put on a pound the first week, but this will soon settle down and you will/should do fine on it!

    Hope I have explained this ok - think this is the longest message I have ever posted!:T

    Hi Marion, hope this is OK, I'd add that beans (e.g. dried mixed beans, butter beans) are free foods on green. Also fat free yoghurts and fat-free cheeses like quark and vlf cottage cheese, are free on both green and red days.
    Anytime;)

    Hello everyone.

    Time has been short recently, hence no posts from me. I do have a window of opportunity over the next few days though so will sharpen the pencils :D

    'Nise, I'm reporting in with a loss of half a pound please. It doesn't sound much but I'm delighted to lose at all after 7.5 off last week - I thought that the natural evening out of things would see me with a gain.

    Hope everyone is having a good time of it :)

    Quite right Jay, thanks:T Also tinned baked beans and tinned spagetti (not the healthy eating ones either):j Actually there is so much that is free that I feel a little silly for saying I was hungry earlier! All I had to do was eat something:T:T.

    Well done to all the losers! There appears to be more space in the room as the blubber diminishes LOL

    I am reporting a STS this week but after the last few weeks I am happy with that! I would also like to say that I would like to stay on the 5lb loss challenge please!

    thanks jay,marion:D looked at the 7 day plan and trying to understand it but strangely what puts me off is that you seem to be able to have so much, binge person here does not know when to stop so can I trust myself to eat that much all day every day?

    Yes, now and in the past have a very restrive strict diet that gets the lbs off not lately by all accounts but has lost over 5 stone so works for me but sometimes the boredom sets in and the bingeing is not far away, lurking ready to get me, rebellion call it what you like but the restriction sends one insane sometimes so OH suggested a bigger breakfast as during the day it burns it off etc good idea but not needed as my breakfast is just fine, lunch is fine it is around now until 5pm when I get dinner the afternoons seems endless and lacking in food, yes there is an apple, rice cakes,crackers,snacks if need be a banana maybe some cucumber slices whatever but what I loose over is looking at another tomato slice or bit of salad, or an apple and loosing the plot because I can't eat another slice of cucumber and that in turns moves from eating to bingeing to guilt to feeling ill, to there must be something more than just keep eating the same things over and over?

    What I MISS are the little things baked beans on toast still have it WW beans and bread but rarely, bacon now is quorn, sausages are quorn, eggs love them still have them but not very often, we used to have for lunch on a sat egg and soldiers and my little one looked forward to it, we still do but I might just have one egg and one slice of bread or now we have wholemeal pitta bread filled to the brim with salads stuff and a little protein like turkey slices or tinned tuna or sardines, they have theirs with crisps, maybe a choc bar and invariable I have baked a cake so they have a slice of that, I take all that off and just have the bread, salad and sugar free jelly with a blob of angel delight sugar free choc on top or a little yog and banana...

  • Well, ms serendisglair quietly snuck that one in!:T :T Well done you: that's two losses 2 weeks running and what a corker this week.
    Thanks peeps for your kind attempt to help with my cord search - I had already 'done' landsend and unfortuanately as per the link you make FFM they have sold out of all the colours in my size. I have also been seaching everywhere for white/cream for several days already Jay with a view to dying and they are sold out every where too!
    Great news on the weight and home front gert: I hope things really work out better than ever for you. kpc - another loss:T .
    Not weighing inn to day. Did feel like facing the scales this morning. Loud sounds of squawking chicken side effects
    I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
