thanks lois!!!!!!!
just had the book people round and have invested in chinese made easy and nigella christmas. Can't wait till i get hem next week! OH is away next weekend so i can eat chinese scallop type things whilst he is away, yay!
Marion , i think that happens with sw sometimes - you are absolutely on target for a loss and just don't see it - keep at it and i bet it'll be better next week. And thats a great motivator for a goal isn't it? It may sound silly, but try it out in the garden first - then you can run for oh if something isn't right and learn what needs doing.0 -
afternoon all.
Bearing in mind the advice given yesterday I have upped my calories a bit and yesterday had rattouille with pasta for lunch and salmon with noodles and veg for dinner. Didnt get to the pool yesterday and dont think I will get today either. Hoping that losing it slowly means it will stay off. But reading all your posts keps me motivated2014 = New Year, New Me0 -
Hi Beanie
It's a biggie b'day plus 1. I'll be 41 on Oct 10th. Didn't get down about being 40 last year so OH thought it might have finally sunk in for this year. As it happens I really don't get fussed about my age - I act like a big kid all the time anyway! You might be right about the money! Feel like I've got a hole in my purse and with four kids to say no to it does get me down. That and the rotten weather - we didn't really have a summer to talk of. Actually thinking about it I have to have Vit D supplements as my blood tests don't even register any in my system so maybe the lack of sunlight, hence no Vit D is affecting me!I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0 -
Bummer, who posted the link for LW15? Well i remember when i first joined was around the time you were doing the wap box thing, so i thought i'd hunt for my first post and i found it! I joined in weight loss 16, on the 2nd of december 07. The first person to welcome me was ajax.
Some good facts there.
33 miles is 30 miles too long in my opinion, i'd never manage that!! Plus, i wouldnt want the first time that you lot saw me to be me covered in sweat and BO. A ttractive i think not!
right im off for some more dissertation fun! ciao0 -
Hope things work out Mennie! It might take a bit of experimentation before you find the optimal levels for yourself with the intake/exercise (I'm still trying to get this right after almost a year of maintaining... but not everyone's as slow as me :rotfl: ) Good luck
Feeling fab today as I've been out for my first run since the op! Actually it was 10 mins walk/10 mins jog/10 mins walk. I could have done morebut I'm serious about building back up gradually. I think I've surprised a couple of members of my family by waiting the full 4 weeks before getting back out there
All this talk of motor caravans, gap years and solo travelling is sending me off to dream world...:D0 -

I weighed in yesterday with a 0.5 pound loss. I am a little perplexed to be honest as I know the SW plan from top to bottom and I know that I was on plan this week and really did expect a much better loss
Don't be downhearted, you probably ate or drank something that weighed heavy before the WI! Anyway, you've achieved the monthly target, so well done. :jLL - I am so jealous! We have a camper van parked in the back garden and I would love to got on tour with it but OH won't do it. I would have to do all the driving as he doesn't but it would be something I would enjoy. If I had the courage to go alone I would!:o I hope you have a wonderful time!
Love
Marion
Thank you. Whenever I've been asked what I'd do if I won a million pounds, I've said I'd buy a Winnebago and travel the world, although I've never worked out how you'd get to Australia in one! :rotfl: We did consider buying a motorhome/campervan but decided it would be more flexible with a caravan as you can unhitch it when you're staying in one place for a while.

Years ago we had a folding down/up camper van, it was trailered behind the car, then voila, wall to wall, side to side it came up into a 3 bed camper van or tin hut:rotfl: :rotfl: we used to cause a crowd every campsite we went to, them watching us put it up, once you got the hang of it it was very quick,it needed a paint so we bought some special paint, so special that when we had painted it, put it back down and went to put it up, the paint had sealed itself to the insides making it impossible to prise open ever again, off to the knackers yard it went:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0

haha oh dear victory! how bad. RIP to the campervan thing. Think the neighbours had one actually.
Ohh i think i forgot to mention, it was my last day at the port today!!! BLOODY GERMANS AGAIN!! Managed to say goodbye and the security staff gave me some sandwhiches as i left that they recieved from the boat!
It was all go though, a young girl got taken off the boat because she'd overdosed. It was quite horrible to look at because she was bobbing up and down, shaking and murmering. She was a member of staff who worked on board and she was due to disembark today, so lord knows what home is like if thats what she does when shes meant to go back..0 -

STS this week (and last week but forgot to post it). So still not managing to stick to the straight and narrow, but not as bad as it has been. Lunch out three days this week and dinner once so no great hopes for the next WI.:o
6th November is fine for me for box opening. Could we ask if peeps have any allergies? For example anyone allergic to nuts needs to avoid almond oil etc in hand cream - I wouldn't want to send some wonderful potion that brought the recipient out in a rash.
PS no allergies here in grannyland
How do you do two quotes in one post -- please tell me in very simple language?0
