can i say thanks for your replies to the last thread which was closed recently
also my diet was poo
i didnt state the reason shouldve have now, as it does make sense)
my main aim is to lose the weight around the stomach area, both obliques and abs area.
i have been goign to the gym as often as i can, so that is fine
my diet has always seemed to be a yo yo one but i can pretty much stp any cravings as i know what is good and what is bad
trouble is , everythign that might be good for me, such as chicken, tuna etc. i feel i wont burn off, so i started to eat far less than i shoudl which can have more negative consequences
any ideas what i shoud really do??
an example
today i had
OAt Granola for brekkie
Snack will incldue 2 apples and 2 oranges
a boiled egg sandwich for lunch
normal dinner in the evening (can consist of anythign but its mainly good and have reduced my portion size)
not forgetting i have at least 7-8 glasses of water
now although the above doesnt seem too bad, i have the menality that is food that im eating that stays on and wont be able to burn off?
any ideas?0 -

Thanks a lot for starting the new thread raph:T . And many thanks to suggs for all your work running the last years worth :T :T .
Sorry I haven't been around much for a few days peeps, I'm focussing on putting my financial house in order and can only do so much foruming. And end of the month means stretching the grocery buget a long way with all the excitement of a whole new month's income to play with on the way:j . Weight not going too well as needing to use up food & sw combo's not so readily availabe. Need to plan a little better for end of next month. Discovering I make a mean flapjack in my new remoska and learning how to make delious HM ice cream probably isn't helping either:rotfl:I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Lois what an excellent thing to do. Will you tell us more about it, where, what exactly planning to do etc?0

You never know what is around the corner and you need to do these things as and when the desire/opportunity comes!
Exactly! We had always taken it for granted that we would be fit and able to do what we wanted in retirement, but DH's sudden illness and subsequent surgery made us realise that we might not, so we're going for it now while we still can.grannynise wrote: »Lois what an excellent thing to do. When I said we were going to become travelling gypsies, I wasn't entirely joking - we're going by car, with a caravan in tow, and we'll be staying on official campsites (not in lay-bys!). We haven't planned the route yet, just had a few ideas about places we haven't been that we'd like to go to, and we're not going to have a stringent timetable to stick to, but spend time in places we like.
More later.

oooh, lois, my mum and dad have travelled in france and spain a bit with a caravan so i'll ask them about good places to go. They are old age travellers and actually have a gypsy caravan. No, thats not some picturesque pretty thing, but the kind of big honking Hobby that all the gypsies have. Mum lives in fear of being 'moved on' by the police wherever they stop
One place that hardly anyone seems to know about in france is Saint Omer - it's about half an hour from calais. The cathedrale at saint omer has a lovely tomb in it - saint erkhembode. He's not a canonical saint but apparently he used to walk the length and breadth of the department giving alms. He is reputed to be particularly good to pray to if your child has foot problems or walking problems, and people leave shoes on his tomb. IT's quite a sight, this big heavy granite tomb and all the little shoes on it. There's a place nearby called blockhaus d'eperleque which is a site where the germans used to make v1s and v2s during the war. You have a lovely walk through a pine forest and suddenly you come to this enormous concrete structure, partially ruined from where the raf got it. It's really something else. Sends shivers down your spine. OF course, I blubbed when i saw the women of ww2 memorial in london so i may not be the best judge.
Still no objections to MONDAY NOVEMBER 3?!?!
still staying good .. . . pasta with turkey mince for tea and used some syns for some extra turkey. Is macaroni cheese free on green? am tempted to try some if it is, getting bored with spaghetti. Feel like I'm getting back into it now - had 4 days without a blip, and most of last week was good too. yay! next step - start writing food diary again, then think about exercise.0 -

Thanks for the tips KPC, I love the sound of the shoes on the tomb.
Monday 3rd is fine with me.
Macaroni cheese isn't free anymore - it used to be, but apparently people used to liquidize it and use it as cheese sauce, so SW decided that was food abuse and synned it! :rotfl: Shame really, I used to enjoy it on toast for lunch.
Some varieties of ravioli are free if you fancy a change. The meat free varieties, not the cheese ones.

Well done KPC, sounds like you're in the zone! Nov 3rd seems to be a goer if you want to make it official? The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000
