afternoon all! Sorry to hear you are poorly marion. Is Charlie snuggled up and keeping you warm?
welcome rob - kep an eye out for ajax, he is a veggie sw type who will be able to give you some good advice. As far as i can se SW and WW are very similar in how they work. I think the main difference is whats your weakness? SW spanks you for bread and booze; WW seems to hit hard for pasta.
just had my exit interview at work. it's starting to feel very real now. I've had 2 bunches of flowers this week too!0 -
Hi BB
Is your friend's son's girlfriend's father Timmy Mallet or David Van Day?I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0 -
Wow the total weight loss on the chart is 1752.5lbs!!!!! That's amazing.
Enjoy your long awaited wii fit, Victory.
I've just enjoyed one of my new lunches (1600/day opens up lots of new possibilities!) Loaded potato skins6 of them!
Hoping to have a day pass gym sesh tomorrow. Anyone doing anything good this weekend?
Granny, Suggs posted on our exercise thread a couple of days ago, so just to let you know there has been a sighting0 -
My little one had an assesment at school and we have been told that he is at high risk of being dyslexic, more tests in Jan will confirm and then what to do to help him, gutted for him but hey worse things can happen and there is al ot of help out there now for him so it should be fine especially since they can now pick it up at his age and help him further to better it:D
what exercise thread is that missy? Prob for the very dedicated which is not me:rolleyes: do you know what I missed today ? A walk, yes it is bitter out there but there is nothing like a brisk walk to get the cobwebs out:D0 -
Hi -everyone - some good losses this week well done everyone who lost!
I am giving myself a big kick up the proverbial...I still go to the gym twice a week and have a good workout with the gorgeous Darren the personal trainer, and am now walking at least 2 miles a day with the cutest dog in the world so should be losing weight. I think sub consciously I am allowing myself too many treats as I 'am doing more now'..... Why do we sabotage ourselves like this?? I have given myself a good talking to today on the way home so let's see if I was listening!
Went to M&S tonight as they are having their 20% off today and didn't see anything I wanted! I had £48 of vouchers to spend, but I suppose it's not a bargain if you don't need it! I am a bit cheesed off as we put Tim's mid life crisis on the M&S card to get the points (paid it off immediately in the MSE way) and I was horrified to find that £8000 only gives you £45 in vouchers..... I will be cancelling the card this month.
Hey ho.

Hey i would like to join , i wish to lose 6.5 stone i know its going to be some time but i was thinking of joining slimming world or weightwatchers but not sure which would be best , im a little confused about what it all means
Im also practically vegetarian and allergic to fish so can anyone help me please?
I did slimming world when I was a complete veggie, just stuck to green days I think you may find it easier also as you generally can have more to eat.Weight loss since 01/08/07 - 72 lbs:j0 -
Woohoo I'm back!
My login is working again. Apparently I'd requested a change of email address and needed to verify it before I could continue posting. I'm not aware of making the request, and the email is the same one I've been using here all along, so a bit strange but at least I've got to the bottom of it.
Great to see your cute dog again Marion - that's a great photo! Sorry to hear you're not well, I hope you make a miraculous recovery in time to enjoy your birthday.
Rob - I'm a big fan of Slimming World, and it seems to particularly suit men and vegetarians. As KPC says, bread and booze are very restricted on SW, so if they are particularly important to you, you might want to consider Weightwatchers instead.
Missy - I'm planning to do another car boot sale this weekend, but I've heard that there's more snow on the way! My car has been loaded with stuff for two weeks - we were going to do one last Sunday but couldn't go.
By the way, I weighed in this morning, a day late, and I'm pleased to say I stayed the same!
See you tomorrow,

yay! always pleased to see pics of charlie! glad to see you back lois.
was doing great on the diet today - till the development guys FORCED me to eat a slice of their chocolate nemesis with grand marnier cream. i don't dare even think about the syns. However, it's made with pretty much just chocolate and milk, so there's no flour in it which is good, right?
I got some of those branston chickpeas and soybeans in mediterranean sauce today. Are they free on green?
lesley, i have an amazon credit card for a similar reason. IT's probably a rubbish deal but i like it because the only thing i will spend amazon vouchers on are treats so i'll end up with them for me, not spending them on stuff that i need, if that makes sense. We try to do that with the clubcard points - treat them as free money and only spend them on fun because they don't cost anything.0
