Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but I've just tried Lidl's Trattoria Alfredo "Inferno" pizza, and it was one of the nicest pizzas I've ever had. All the pizzas in this range are pretty good, but the Inferno is delicious. It is pretty hot, so if you don't like spicy food it won't be for you, but if you do like it hot I highly recommend them!0

25p for a jar of Red Mountain Coffee 100g until 22nd September at Lidl but you need toprint off a voucher from the website. http://www.lidl-info.com/cps/rde/xbcr/newsletter/130910_NL_coffee_voucher.pdf You can use one per transaction so you could go each day if you a caffiene fiend.0

Aldi do a delicious spicy beef with chili peppers Pizza called Diavolo Edge to Edge - only trouble is they seem to sell out fast but all their other pizzas are good too so its not the end of the world0 -

Ooh sounds nice, I've never seen that one, will have to look out for it. I really like their Specially Selected Vegetable Tarte Fin pizza.
On a different note, I've just tried some Aldi Harvest Morn Muffin Bars. Absolutely delicious, and a nice alternative to cereal bars.0 -
Hi
I have been offered a lift to Lidl tomorrow and would like some help please.
Can anyone tell me what I should buy and what I should avoid?
I have looked at an old thread but things change and it was an old thread.
Thanks Mary0 -
Check out the fruit and veg, they tend to be much cheaper. I also buy passata in boxes, tomato puree etc. Thier extra virgin olive oil is recommended by Good Housekeeping and their special muesli is great (and reduced by 30p to £1.19 last week). They often have good offers on things like branston baked beans. Chocolate and ice cream is very good value and excellent. I like their bacon and they have good parmesan and goats cheese.
Basically I find that they are good value and quality on the whole. One word of warning, watch the soft veg and fruit, I find it can go off more quickly than larger supermarkets.0 -

Depends on what you like really but I always look at the fruit and veg, sometimes cheaper sometimes not.
I really like their cold meats and hams, and their brie with chillis/peppercorns are scrummy.
I also nearly always get passata (sieved tomatoes) there too.
Have fun:j0 -
Hi there,
I love Lidl but am selective.
I regularly buy....
any of their fruit and veg
bread flour
milk
tinned tomatoes, mackerel in tom sauce, sardines in tom sauce,
jars of olives
free range chicken
quorn products
wine
shampoo and conditioner
loo roll
fruit juices
breakfast cereal (FAB muesli)
Bags of frozen pollack
probably more but that should help a bitTess x

My (not so)local Lidl is very dissapointing and i often come out with nothing
Such a shame as it is a newly built store and i was so pleased to be getting one in my area.
They do have branded jams and sauces that seem to be offer all the time.
Last week gold blend coffee was on offer too, very cheap!
HOWEVER i do get my fabric softner from there, it is called dousey and is 86p for a huge bottle and is excellent.DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Hi again,
I just wanted to add that the only things I really avoid in Lidl are the things I avoid in all supermarkets....ready meals and high fat processed stuff.
We even had our christmas day Goose from Lidl last year and it was delish!
Enjoy,
