I haven't seen any in my local store, either, but I saw them in two other stores in Suffolk.
With only 2-4 staff present, Aldi stores are easy prey for shoplifters. I know some stores don't put bottles of spirits on the shelf any more. You'll have to tell the cashier, who'll get the bottle for you from somewhere behind the office doors.0 -

Walton on Thames Aldi in the Surrey Stockbroker belt has a security guard. Could be due to the compounds of travelling folk down the road in Chertsey0 -

And a very nice Aldi it is too. It used to be a Safeway then Morrisons which shut I guess because it was a relatively small store to compete with the New Sainsburys in the new walton complex
I do hope that this Aldi does well in the affluent "land of plenty" in leafy Surrey. I do wonder if some of the customers sneak in there hoping they won't be noticed and then transfer their goods to their Waitrose bags before unloading the black Range Rover on the driveway of their homeThe Early bird may catch the worm ...but its the second mouse that gets all the cheese!0 -
Netto:
1 pack mixed root veg 99p
1 pack leeks £1
enough vegetable soup for 1 weeks lunches, and I'm losing weight BONUS0 -
Went to Aldi today and bought some Cafe Bistro Syrup Waffles. Absolutely gorgeous with a cup of coffee. Do try them!!0

Netto is also good for wine, you can ususally pick something ok up for £2.99 a bottle. They are quite good for cheese too, not massive variety but your basic have in the fridge stuff usually has offers on it
Aldi is great for cooked meats, all varieties0
