Frozen Fish Qusetion Please help
I have the La Caldera Frutti Di Mare (with olive oil and basil) deep frozen.
The instuctions just say heat in a pan .....
Just want to confirm you cook this from frozen rather than defrost.
Can anyone help please?0 -
Oh and we LOVE the Nasi Goreng! (frozen stir fry rice thing with chicken in it)
In Aldi
Creme aux Oeufs puddings - 4 in a pack (like a cold creme brulee in fridge section)
The 2 packs of gammon steaks from either are great.
The Brie at 86pish and dolcalate (sp) all the cheese mmmmm0 -
LIDL - large tins of pink salmon that were 80p last week are now £1.58 each - exactly the same price as Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda etc. Who says price-fixing is dead?:mad:0

Had one of these as an early pre Christmas lunch today - and it was WONDERFUL!!!! I plan to buy a couple more tomorrow and stick in the freezer. The timing guide is very accurate and cooked mine to perfection - used 180C though instead of the recommended 200C as mines a fan ovenELITE 5:2

Entertaining rant about 'this Vickery guy' on the Word of Mouth blog:
"Had Phil Vickery ever set foot in an Aldi before he cashed the cheque? Who knows. He's certainly in no need of discount groceries now that he's enjoying his chunk of this reported £10m ad campaign.
"Ad World Bends Truth Through Prism Of Bullsheet" is hardly an earth-shattering headline, but the Vickery-Aldi love-in - in the form of a series of recipe podcasts and terrible TV ads - is mendacious on an ambitious number of levels. Not only do we have a discerning chef extolling the virtues of microwaveable rice and Baron St Jean Rouge, a wine whose only remarkable trait is a complete lack of character, but apparently he's only doing it for us."

Baron St Jean wine is IMO awful.
I have had a few good wines from Aldi and Lidl. I always forget what they were(must remember to keep the bottles from the good stuff).
Does anyone have any wine recommendations?Looking forward to the future.0 -

Finally spotted the 3 bird roast - only 2 left in my nearest Aldi. At last, they have restocked their fab luxury fruit museli which according to DH is better than Dorset Cereals (which we resort to for our 2nd choice) so there you are. Needless to say, I bought 4 boxes (2 of each flavour!)0
