It's called Niersteiner, or rather "Bereich Nierstein". South of Hesse.

I used to love Niersteiner Gutes Domtal. Is that the same?

Yes. That's the very real thing, from the municipality of Nierstein. The surrounding municipalities are only allowed to sell "Bereich Nierstein", district Nierstein. Doesn't make a difference in the wine, though, as far as I can tell.

Here's a map. "Gutes Domtal" is the vineyards on the bottom left of the map.

Has anyone bought from either aldi's or lidl a little square glass or plastic container of green coloured apple scented crystals, I bought one for my bathroom and it's run out. I've looked in both Aldi and Lidl and can't find them and am wondering if maybe I bought them somewhere else ro they've stopped stocking them.

    Anyone help please?
Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

Has anyone used laudry tablets from Aldi or Lidl?

I buy colour and bio and wondered if theirs are any good?

    Thanks.

I've used colour and bio tablets from both. They work great - I've not bought branded or other supermarket own brand tablets for years. Can also recommend the colour liquid - find it's better for dark clothes than tabs.

We usually use persil and do not like the supermarket own washing powders, but the Aldi one is good.

Has anyone bought the 3 bird roast?

i went into aldi looking for one of these and NONE! so i asked and apparently they arent leaving the depot til the 15th so wont be in store til after then. that was the brighton branch and i'm sure that would be for the other stores too! i wish they would hurry up though i want one! lol
It only seems kinky the first time.. :A
  • The local store managers told me that the Three Bird Roasts were just flying out of the store (must have been this Vickery guy) and that they're having problems reordering.

Correction on the Niersteiner: Nierstein and surrounding area is not in Hesse but on the left bank of the Rhine, in an area called Rheinhessen but belonging to the country of Rhineland-Palatinate, and not to Hesse. Well, it's not particularly earth-shaking, but I couldn't leave it like that.
