A little hint for the beer lovers.
ALDI. Spaten Oktoberfest beer (£1.29) and Schöfferhofer Weizen (£1.19) have now been in stock for a quite while, with the batches reaching the end of shelf lives in short time. Keep an eye on it, the price is bound to come down any time soon, also due to massive backstock.0 -
Supermarket:
LIDL
My top things to buy are:
Hatherwood Bitter
Excellent beer, great price.0 -
we have a new Lidl opening at the weekend [ a year late I might add due to Tesco opposite raising many restrictions] is it worth a visit or am I best to stick to Asda which I know so well
what items are favoured from lidl's , we have an Aldi which I only visit on rear occassions is it much the same .... or could I be pleasantly surprised0 -

Asda is not English - it's an american company now - owned by Walmart."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."

Name one thing the english can do better than germans.
Moan!Breakfast!
I disagree , you have obviously never had a German breakfast with fresh bread rolls, home made jam, local sausage and cheese, and freshly brewed coffee, yum!
Anyhow, I buy washing tablets from Aldi and Lidl, I prefer Aldis, but Lidl is right on my doorstep, so quicker if I run out.0
