Found this review for a Lidl wine:

    Wine reviews

    Nov 22 2008 Brian Elliott
Viajero Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva Privado £4.79 - Lidl
The word 'reserve' signals oak ageing as does this wine's smooth and mellow texture. Its tannin is nicely in balance and its flavour, principally of plums, also embraces hints of brambles and chocolate. Find all three in its pleasingly long finish. Excellent value.

We bought the three bird roast, but I was very disappointed, ours was only a two bird roast! There was no duck in it at all!

I have saved the wrapper and will see what they say.

Hnmmmm... didn't give a damn, took the wrapper and the receipt in and all they said was where is the meat! They wanted me to save it and take it back so it could be 'analyzed'. Assistant mananger filled in a form and then took it badly when I objected when she marked the box saying custmers satisfied.

Mum just rang to say how disappointed they were with their 3 bird roast as there was no duck either. I suggested she write to head office about it.
  • :question:Hi, mse's! Don't know how these things work, but just read Martin's article about Aldi, Lidl and Netto and wondered how the prices actually compare, since they don't appear to be listed. In my experience, things like bread tend to be more expensive in Aldi than they are in Tesco, so how can I get super-savvy?
  • Bread in my aldi's is 89p, hows that dearer?

Aldi - Chocolate Bars. Great quality, very creamy.

Lidl - The granary bread rolls in the freezer.

Hi I after to go Netto's in the morning and was wondering what the meat is like that they sell. I am really funny about my meat and wnt use it, if it smells weird.

You shouldn't use meat if it smells weird no matter where you buy it from :)
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D
