    Morning all

Went out for the day yesterday, so there was no OS'ing to report. Girls went bowling then to a park for the afternoon.

We're trying to declutter, and have managed to fill quite a few bags for the charity shop. There's still so much more to go though

I'm trying to be ruthless, but then I see some of the things they had when they were younger, and think it's a shame to get rid of, even though they won't use it. For example, DD2 has a Peter Rabbit sleeping bag which is all soft and cuddly, but she's grown out of it. It's just so sweet though. I should get rid of it, but ......

We're going shopping this afternoon. DDs want to pick up some of their christmas presents. I'm hoping to have everything done by the end of November, apart from the food stuff.

Whilst the girls were at guides on Tuesday, I popped into Tesco's and manged to pick up some bargains - one was cheese and herb rolls, 3 in a pack reduced to 10p. They were absolutely delicious, so I'm going to try making them today. BM is on a dough setting, so once that's done, I shall have a go.

Apart from that, it's a bit of work with DDs this morning, plus I want to try and arrange a home ed visit at our main mosque. They have school groups visiting, so hopefully they will accomodate us.

    Morning all.
Apologies to those I confused yesterday -- I meant the pheasants for eating not the buzzard:rolleyes:
Pheasant had a head to head with charlie fox yesterday - fortunately the dog barked and a calamity was averted. Quite funny in hindsight.
DS made an acceptable savoury plait in catering yesterday so that was tea sorted.
Got farrier today so the dog will be happy - loves eating the hoof - although he will chuck it up later. Such is life with a labrador!!

Thanks whatatwit - the floor cushions are not a bad idea, as the girls are always lying on the floor.

This is what it looks like

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PETER-RABBIT-FLEECE-BABY-SLEEPING-BAG_W0QQitemZ380064475578QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item380064475578&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

but it's not baby size. DD has outgrown Peter Rabbit though. It's me who doesn't want to part with it, I think :o Maybe I should put it away for in case they have children I can pass it on to - will hopefully wait at least 20 years for that though lol!

DD1 has a Tracy Beaker one, which is a bit more grown up so would be good to turn into a cushion perhaps, or take the zip off for a throw  That's a good idea too.

    Thankyou.

    Morning all!

Celyn - you make me feel tired with all your nocturnal activity! If I don't get sleep I'm very very crabby, which is most of the week as I work nights and there always seems to be stuff to do during the days! Ah well, no w**k tonight!

Poppy - hope oh arrives safely and you have a lovely time, see in a few weeks lol!

Chocorange - post away, the more the merrier!

Troo - hope your oh is contrite now! My oh does stuff "for me", the other day it was putting his clothes in the washing machine, note that it was only his clothes, but he'd put the machine on "for me"! Drives me insane!

Melika - good luck with the course and the job application, perhaps that will be your third bit of luck!

Hester - your "colleague" shouldn't have been getting away with her behaviour, no wonder you get so fed up, perhaps her telling off will make her buck up or consider leaving!

Marie - hugs to you and Ulick xx

Well it's a bit grey and gloomy out here again, hoping that the weather will turn sunny again later like it has done for the past couple of days.

What started out as a mild ache yesterday, I thought I'd lifted something awkwardly at work, turned into a ferocious sneezing attack by 10pm, it was horrible, but quite funny, I just could not stop sneezing - Beth I'd advise you against shopping in Tesco's in Weston, if you ever go there, for a while till my germs have cleared! Got home at 3am and took some Nightnurse, only had the liquid one though and it was vile, but it worked, stopped the sneezes and I fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow. Still snuffling this morning, but don't feel too bad, was expecting to feel rotten so I'm quite pleased.

Got dd1 and dd2's party tonight in Lush, it makes me sneeze in there anyway, so I shall be doing my Rudolph impression, how attractive lol!

Got a call from dd1's school to say she'd fallen off the school bus and her ankle was sore, so oh has gone to collect her, she'd better have a really swollen ankle when he gets there else she'll be getting a real ear bashing when he sees her! School have given her a cool pack, but apparently they aren't allowed to do anything else, I'd like to know exactly what the school nurse is allowed to do, surely looking at dd1's ankle wouldn't be too much to ask!

Anyway, tea will be nibbles for all! Will bung in some soup so we can top up our tums when we get home though I think.

Not much else planned other than making some fairy cakes to take as well, need to put all the coffee beans I was given in the freezer - friend's oh does deliveries for a catering company and one of the huge bags of coffee beans had a tear in, so he was allowed to bring it home, and my friend kindly bought a huge bag of them in for me. So won't need to buy coffee for ages.

Hope everyone has a lovely day xx

  • Morning all, had a nice lie in this morning as had no gas fitters knocking on the door! Well i must give praise where it is due, Dyson have done a very good job with the new boiler, and we are very happy with it. We are now having the system powerflushed next Monday so should be all nice and toasty for Winter. Spending today getting caught up with washing and ironing and going to make some leek, potato and pea soup for lunch.
Went out shopping yesterday and managed to get 2x 225g blocks of Wyke Farms cheese for 30p each at the local freezer centre, so was very pleased with my bargain!!
Must do some listing on ebay later and pop up to the local market for some fruit and veg.
Have a good day everyone BSB xx
