No problem, I'm waiting for a Welsh translation of " excellent interest rates " now.. :rotfl:

It may produce something better than the English version on HSBC Site.:D

Inactive did you hear about the HSBC results? They have lost a few billion.

How long does it take to transfer an ISA from them?

Thanks but it also shows that they have got some new customers. There was some talk that the Chinesse government may take them over if things go wrong.

How could the Chinese government take them over? They're not based in China, or Hong Kong. Their worldwide HQ is in Canary Wharf...

Could the people who work for HSBC kindly answer this question, or tell me where to find the answer in the T&Cs (or elsewhere)?

For how many months do you have to transfer in £500 to be eligible for the Advance account? I have been having my salary paid in for the last 4 months, but have been told I don't qualify. To be honest without the sweetener of the 8% account I'm tempted to go elsewhere and treat it simply as a bills account (<£500).

    Thanks in advance.

It could be that China is one of the few countries with money left and when the banks get into trouble they will beg to anyone. After all Barklays went to the Middle Eastern countries.
