I'd get a pic of mine but my phone camera doesn't seem to like doing it... the Visa Debit one looks the same, but presumably with a Visa logo on it (I've seen a small picture, probably put on an ad by mistake for some reason...)
No idea what the standard card will look like. With any luck the switch to Visa Debit will stop people thinking the "card number" along the bottom of the card is their account number and filling it in as such on paying-in slips... bugbear of all the cashiers0 -
The last 8 digits are the account number.
It goes like this for HSBC cards (I am a geek and I know you know this but I am proud of the fact I know this):
First 4 digits is the type of card.
Next 6 digits are the sort code.
Final 8 digits are the account number.:D
I also know my card info off by heart ha.0 -
Only for my savings and other things but it is better to have a current account with HSBC whilst there are limited services from the CU but as the services expand at the CU I will move everything over.ShelfStacker wrote: »I thought you were switching...0

Logo on top left, white line stretching across the card underneath it, otherwise looks like a plain black Maestro card. Can't find a picture, soz.
Although, if you're going to choose Premier based on what the debit card looks like, (or are able to), you're pretty much far gone at this point.0 -
no, just wondered....0

I was really miffed when they changed my Premier Credit Card last time. The previous one was a lovely gold colour that looked a bit special. The replacement is a naff blue colour and looks very plain and ordinary ... nothing 'Premier' about it at all. And to add insult the silvering on the numerals is so substandard, it has all but disappeared, making it very hard to read. 0 out of 10 for that one HSBC.
Still, I shall be getting a new one in a few days time after Premier Security informed me on Thursday that the police had informed them as part of an investigation that my security had been compromised ... no other details.
I will take my hat off to the Premier Security personel who have been brilliant, keeping my card open and under surveillance for any fraudulent activity while we waited for Dell to represent a card payment for authorisation for an order I had unwittingly placed just half an hour after the card had been blocked.
Thankfully it's all gone through now, and the ever-helpful Premier staff are ordering up my new card after I phoned them back this morning. No telephone queues, polite and efficient staff ... now that's the way I like to be treated. It's worth being a Premier customer.

If anyone wants to now is the time to grab it before they think about changing it.0

I would advise this too just in case (I've heard nothing). But then, when the base rate went down last time, the Regular Saver rate didn't change, and it has always been well above the base rate in any event.
Of course, if you already have a Regular Saver, it's fixed at 8% for a year.0 -
HSBC have decided not to reduce the mortgage rate by 1.5%.0
