My application finally went through this morning!

my account has not opened yet because I live in halls of residence. They say the application was not my home address. It is my home address I live there all year round. Then sent a letter out yesterday saying for this reason I will not be able to open the account. I need to reply in writing saying that it is my home address and where I live all year round.

Can I ask, did you just go ahead and re apply or did you call them as it said?

I got the same message last night and am now waiting on the phone to speak with someone.

if you apply on-line it should now work because it is within their office hours, some people last night after closing time got a time-out error message

did anyone find out for sure deadline about sending cheque etc to receive the rate etc - haven't been able to get through to speak to the AA team?

also, is the icici fixed bond any good in terms of safety? dont know where is best to put money at this uncertain time? is fixed bond for 1 yr most likely to be the best option?

I have just done the application again on line, I am still on hold!!!
This time it has gone through so we shall see.

I rang them today ( 01902 325504 from Saynoto0870 ) as i haven't received my pack either, opened account Sunday. Was told that cheque had to be in by 15th so if i hadn't received my pack by tomorrow i could send the cheque in with a covering letter containing full name,address,date of birth and signature. Address to send it to is PO Box 81, Pendeford Business Park, Wobaston Road, Wolverhampton, WV9 5BA

Just spoke to them again about 9:30am because I had still not received my opening pack in the post that they sent on the 6th. He said the offer was closing "later this morning". He also said the deadline for cheques to be received by them was Wed 15th, but conceded that they will actually allow a few days more until the 17th. I was told my account number and how if I still do not receive the pack I can write my own covering letter to include that with my cheque, he said this letter should include a statement that I agree with the terms and conditions of the particular account I am opening.
