    Morning all,

Just watching that David Blane on the tv, he is hanging upside down for 60 hours  , why ????

Any hoo, its a bit dark and dismal here at the moment, hopefully it will brighten up, I need to change dd's bedding and get it on the line and I think I have another load to go in, back to work tomorrow, so I would like to get it clear before then.

Going to shove 2 turkey legs in the sc this morning, ready to make a curry later, they are good value and stretch a long way.

DD made bread rolls at school yesterday, they were lovely :T :T I have put them in the freezer and we will have them for our lunch, her homework is to make a meal from a foreign country and photograph it, she has decided on sweet and sour chicken, which is her favourite, so I need to change my meal plan so we have this friday, and need to change my online shop.

Other than that it will be the usual tidy / clean through, and I really should clean my car out, but we will see.

Pink You have me intruigued (sp) now, why do you have to wander outside  , hope all goes well today xx

Hester, I hope you get time to talk to the head today, this cannot go on, take care of yourself xx

Pippa, hugs to your mum xx

Marie hugs to you and DH xx

    Have good days all xx

    excellent news mellika.
hope those who are poorly feel better soon. having problems with my "f" ...keyboard needs a quick hoover I think ;)

yesterday OH cleaned the car inside and out while I finally got round to fumigating DS bedroom. :) 4 black bin bags full plus half a blue bin of paper later the place looks like new. Now need to do DD's room. Have given up trying to get her to do it. She's in my good books though, school is closed on wednesday with yet another strike. the senior pupils have the option of going in if they want....and she wants to  because she doesn't want to miss double maths. I nearly checked her temperature ;). especially when she told me how disgusted she was that her friends were taking the day off!
Today must go in to town to do a few errands, and yet more car showrooms....
Tonights tea will be roast chicken which we should have had on Sunday, but had to change plan to fit in with DS coming home.

  • Good Morning All

    (((Hugs))) if needed

Melika - glad things are getting better for you
    Enjoy the shopping Pink

Yesterday turned out to be a horrible day with loads of phone calls and mishaps. Turns out our client cant offer us the extra work which was to start next week, unfortuntely we had already offered the job to someone - I hate messing people about.

One good thing yesterday - found a local slaughterhouse which has a shop attached - prices very reasonable so will try some of their meat soon and it we like it we can bulk order. Now on more of a mission to empty my chest freezer.

Am determined that today will be a better day. Have a meeting with another client at midday so most of the day will be gone in travelling but will try and get us much done before and after so can go to Tai Chi without a guilty consience.

Think is sausages for tea tonight - nice and easy.

Haven't been on lately, been gadding about! Went to Marbella in Spain two weeks ago for a wedding. Beautiful wedding, cost £40000 according to the Groom's Grandma:eek: If DD thinks she's getting one like that, she's got another thing
    coming!:rotfl:

((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) for those who need them.

Felt lousy yesterday. Overdid the gardening at the weekend. Legs were really bad yesterday, you'd think I'd learn by now, wouldn't you?:o pent the day lurking around school, hoping no one would notice I wasn't doing much. Made it to the end of the day, only one and a half more to get through.

DS went for a curry with his mates Sunday night, and was sick all over his bed and floor later on. Anyone know how to get yellow turmeric stains out of beige
    carpet? !

Anyway, have a good day all, whatever you're doing!

  • Morning everyone, up and about early again for the return of the gas fitters.
Just had the dog out and its nippy but the sun is shining.
Yesterday the fitter managed to get the new boiler in and the flue installed so everything had a thick layer of brick dust on it,(open plan kitchen and living room) so last night was spent cleaning all surfaces!!!
He is a really nice chap and kept apologising for the mess, today should'nt be as bad as old boiler is coming out.
Discovered a damp patch in DD's bedroom and had a catastrophe with a leaky bath last night. More things to be dealt with, you know when you get the feeling it's ONE OF THOSE WEEKS!!!
DH is working so much overtime at the moment i dont know when we will get round to sorting things out.
DD's OH started his new job yesterday and is enjoying it so me and DD had a nice day together just chatting while the drill hummed away in the background!
Had a good week on ebay and made £65 so parcels to post.
Tea tonight will be spag bol, garlic bread, easy and quick as i cant get into the kitchen until the gas fitters have gone.
Have a good day everyone BSB xx

Good morning all. Slept right through the alarm this morning so not the best of starts. Trying to make sandwiches when the tendonitis in my hands hasn't eased (my hands seem to freeze in one position when I sleep and then need 'unfolding') and having to use Branston (which I can't stand the smell of at the best of times) is not how I like to wake up! Still, DH went quite early so I've spent the last hour catching up; BM and WM are on, breakfast things cleared up, bathroom cleaned and bed made so now I'm sat down with my lovely strong black coffee.

It looks as thought it's going to be a lovely day today.

Pippa - I hope your Mum is feeling better today. (((Hugs))) to her.

(((Hugs))) also to Ulrick and MeanMarie, Smoky, PenPin, Jayward, Candygirl's Mum and Dad, Essex-girl's Dad and Beth and her family and all who would like one today.

    Churchmouse - :hello: :hello: :hello:

RedRuby - if he was a woman he wouldn't have time to hang around upside down!

Hester - it's not old age, it's because you are being expected to do too much. I hope you get a chance to talk to your boss today.

Whatatwit - go for the Remoska. My DH, who blanched when I told him how much they cost, now boasts to other people about ours! Besides saving on energy costs, the food tastes a lot better. He's really delighted with it. It'll be much more interesting than boring old tools!

Mellika - so sorry to hear about the burglary; how horrible for you. I'm so glad things are looking up.

Troo - that would drive me mad, too. Why do men assume that, if they have nothing to do, then neither do you? My DH said last night that he can't wait to retire so I offered to retire at the same time as him and stop cooking and cleaning.

Well, today I must pack up some things I've knitted and send them off to the charity we Wooligans knit for, load some things back on to the computer from CDs DS1 has given me. I did the ironing yesterday and have a few more things that dried on the line so I might iron those and get back up to date with it. I also have filing to do but it's only a small amount because I did loads at the weekend. I keep promising myself I'll do it every day but it soon builds up again.

Dinner will be curry and rice using leftover chicken from the weekend. I cooked the chicken in the Remoska and it's really delicious. It was so much easier to get the meat off and I have enough for about five more meals plus the carcass will be roasted (in the Remoska) and used for stock. I might make some soup today, too. I'm filling the freezer up with soup these days.

Well, I'd better go and get something else done.

    See you later.

Hi Hilstep - (((hugs))) to you. You could try alcohol on the sick stain, something like neat vodka. Alcohol breaks down enzymes so it might do the trick. Try on an inconspicuous area first. The wedding must have been lovely at that price. My DS2 and his wife honeymooned in Marbella in August but luckily they married over here so it didn't cost so much. I hope your legs start feeling better.

    hahaha excellent :T :rotfl:

I meant to say earlier - we stopped at the services on the M5 yesterday, there was a little boy with his mum and dad. He was reciting everything he was doing 'we're walking back to the car, now we're getting in the car' etc. Then he said 'I'm in my seat, time to put on my strap-on' :D His dad said 'no no no, it's strap-IN. STRAP-IN not strap-on' :rotfl:

  • Mellika, congratulations :T Try to think positive, now you are on a roll, the sky is the limit :j

Hillstep, you don't have to tell me how much a wedding costs, DS got married just over a week ago, and I can't believe how much it cost  Still, as he says you only do it once (he had better only do it once)

Anyway, definitely have to go now. Byeee x
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
