have heard this from a few people now which i thought was odd as nintendo are usually good on backwards compatibility (i.e the nintendo ds can play games form the gameboy sp etc) , so i googled and found:

hope this helps :) but either way there are so many games out there and it is aimed at the younger end of the market so i wouldn't worry too much xx

Nintendos new console 'revolution', will not be out for at least a year. All gamecube games work on all versions of the gamecube (there only are two, one has a missing av connection that you would never use anyway).

Revolution will be backward compatible with the gamecube and you will be able to download every NES, Super-NES and N64 game ever made (possibly for free, or if not then a very small charge).

C'mon, the PanasonicQ is a Japan only product. It is quite funky though.

Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: For legal reasons I have to discourage swapping, buying and selling on the forum (please see this rule). While it can be a very useful way of saving money it relies on a certain amount of trust between members and as such can cause problems (and has in the past). If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

I've had to remove some posts because buying/selling/swapping isn't permitted on the forum. Just wanted to remind people :)

Just picked one up from Loughborough.

Apparently they had 10 this morning (before I picked mine up). The shop didn't even want to reserve one for me - they didn't see the need. When I got to the store I realised why, I couldn't find any mention of the price, or any GameCube consoles or even any GC games.

Unless you had read the newspaper ad posted above and specifically asked in the store, you would never know they were selling them.

Now to go and find the Zelda Collector's Edition disk so I can play the two games I missed out by not having a N64.

    Excellent post, thanks :T
