tallica wrote:platinum pack with extra game NOT included in offer still 79.99 only the white bundle at 49.99 and if cs tell you different, then you are speaking to the same ****** idiot that sent me on a 80 mile round trip for nothing!!
I still think the platinum pack with Mario smash football, the extra controller and the memory card is an excellent deal for £49.99. The game itself is selling for £25 on Ebay, so that would make it £25 for the console, 2 controllers and a memory card.....an even better deal than Dixons!

I don't suppose anyone knows anything about RGB Scart Cables? I don't nad trying to find out via the internet has proved a bit tricky. Some of the reviews on Amazon state that only the official Nintendo cable is truly RGB. However I saw one manufacturer say that that was because Nintendo changed some of the tech info for the Gamecube and it took them a while to catch - which they have and that almost all Scart Cables for Gamecubes are now RGB. Basically there's a big difference in price so if anybody could help I'd be graeful!0

I found that the original nintendo one, only produced the best quality picture, other cheap wannabees gave crap picture quality, some looked a bit washed, and one just gave a very white apperance to the hwole picture.
Go for the official one, i spent £20 for mine from gamestation iirc
or try froogle
Cheers

what is a RGB Scart Cable? I have bough a GC as a present and am now worried that I need to buy something else or it wont work?0

If it's complete, and you were not told there was one missing, you'll have one with it. It WILL come part of the package, and if it hasnt then you are entitled to one from the shop you bought it from, or a part refund.0

Sorry to cause confusion, I'm basically wanting to upgrade the cable that comes as standard with the console.0 -
I bought a RGB SCART from a trader on ebay for £5 including postage.
It's reasonable quality but there is a bit of cross hatching (mostly noticeable on the title screen on Donkey Konga 2) but is fine for the other games.
I might need to find an official one to compare.0 -
just picked up a gamecube pack from a local argos.
it cost me £34.99 after using my nectar card, and i have put the mario smash football game on ebay!
so hopefully the gamecube, memory card, and extra controller will of only cost me £10!
shame i missed out on the free £5 argos voucher though,it finished yesterday.
anyone know where i can find true crime nyc? cheapest ive found is £29.99.0 -
we went into our local currys and bought a gamecube for £24.99 but when we asked for the promo zelda disc he put it through manually at £4.99 saying that was what it was coming up at - in which case why did he have to type in the amount??? have we been ripped off? (stupid question!) is there anything we can do about it?
we're gonna have to take the gamecube back tomorrow anyway cos having just got it out of the box tonight it is obviously a return as the labels are scuffed and the filters are full of dust  (it was the only one in the shop and we didnt get chance to check it as we had to pick the kids up from school)
if we return the gamecube can we argue the case for a refund on the zelda disc and keep it or should we just keep the game anyway as it is selling for £15 on ebay at the moment anyway
advice please! :rudolf:Mum of 7 (aged 14y to 1y)
loving SW - 5st off and counting! :j0
