Not my own find but credit to MikeT from the Dell Outlets Forums,

For those interested here are the pdf's for the 26" TV setup guide and owners manual. A bit slow in downloading for me but it gets there eventually.

Scarts appear to be on the back panel of the unit, so we have connections on the side, bottom and back faces of the TV - not bad at all (waiting for mine to be delivered Wednesday 5pm-9pm.

Looks to me as if it's got two scarts there slightly recessed into the body of the unit

I had a look at a review on a web site last night and it displayed a pciture that clearly showed that it ahd two, although review is almsot a year old I doubt thinks would have changed that much. These are a good deal.

I'm very tempted to buy this (26")to complement my Xbox 360 which I should hopefully pick up on friday, but I think i've spotted an error.

The description states that the tv has two scart sockets, but looking at the 360 tour, i can't see any scart sockets on the unit.

Can someone please confirm it does infact have scarts?

    Thanks

It's definitely got the two SCART as shown on the setting up guide (a link was provided a few msgs above). One SCART with RGB, other with Y/C (ie SVHS/S-Video). They are the only connectors on the BACK (right-hand side, in a vertical line), with the other connectors facing downwards on the back.

However you might want to see Microsoft site for COMPONENT video cable option for which this TV has two sets of connectors:
    http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/hardware/x/xbox360componenthdcable/

"Showcase stunning Xbox 360 high definition graphics with the component connection on your HDTV. Play high quality audio with the included Stereo connection or utilize the Optical Audio port for digital sound. The 8’ shielded cable also includes the more traditional Composite connections for use with standard definition TVs."

There's also talk of Microsoft offering DVI output but NOT YET - again this TV has the DVI digital input and with the HDCP protection necessary (per my earlier msgs/enquiries to Dell). So plenty of options.

I think that voucher only works when purchasing Dell Inspirons. Still worth a try though.

What is the difference between HDMI and HDCP? I've read on a couple of forums that for it to be truely HDTV compatable it needs one or the other, I know this one has HDCP (thanks to the other memeber who contacted Dell:) ) but what are the downfalls of now HDMI, or are they the same.

The required DIGITAL interface for 'HD Ready' is EITHER DVI or HDMI.

On whichever of those two digital interfaces it has, it ALSO needs the HDCP high definition copy protection as well, ie DVI-HDCP -or- HDMI-HDCP.

See my earlier message with straight quote from EICTA HD Ready specification.

The HDMI has audio integrated into the cable, the DVI does not.

    MKD

Yea thanks, I get it now :)
Looks like it'll suit me fine, just waiting to hear some feedback about the response time in sports etc before I order.
