    I am confused!!!

It is 5.38pm now. Is that 5.38pm BST or GMT? I thought the UK was GMT?!
We are BST at the moment (when the clocks go forward we are GMT+1, or BST; when they go back again we are GMT).

Me thinks they didn't sell any rooms today as maybe their server crashed.

I had their offer page open in front of me for 2 hours (without having to refresh or anything) and at 1pm I was waiting anxiously for the page to change so that I could enter my e-mail and choose hotel+dates.

Basically at 1pm nothing happened! I waited and I waited and eventually I refreshed about 1.10 and that's when I lost the page.

That's why I was so surprised when 2 or 3 OPs have said that they got their bookings - the question is where did they enter details and how???

Since then many questions have been asked of them and they are yet to return to update us on how they managed to strike it lucky!

So now LHW are sending out e-mails that the offer is to run again - it would make sense if it didn't work the first time. Clearly they need to use better tactics!

Finding out information for this has been my crusade this afternoon! It is my fiance and I's anniversary in November, and as I'm still and uni and we're saving for a wedding this would be ideal.

I just got the beep of a received email, and got excited. Thanks, William Hill Bingo spam for making my day

It's 1742 BST at the moment and 1642 GMT. British Summer Time is 1 hour ahead of GMT

I do hope LHW discount all the emails they receive at 1158-1159 GMT - with people trying to jump the gun!

What if their mailserver is 2 minutes slow? Or 2 minutes fast? Or any other combination of the wrong time fast or slow? Going by any clock you own is no good, you need to know what time it is on their server.
  • I still havent got mine???????? xx

I haven't received an email either

This is exactly what happened to me too which is why I was asking how they managed to book and to post what happened.... but I was accused of saying that they were lying  which I did not say but just wanted information on what process they went through...

Anyway hope I get the email and have better luck tomorrow ;)

The three who pretended to have booked a room are all the same person. I looked up their personal profiles and its all the same message posting. Pity we didn't realise earlier as this fooled us thinking that the site was working. Oh well I hope they/it found it amusing. A lesson for next time I think.

Websites do not generally just change on their own. You would have to refresh the page to see any change - which you did but the servers had crashed by then.
