Me too, jellytots. It was really a lottery with a very nice prize if you were lucky. I suppose the problem was that people felt some sort of entitlement as they had been asked to pre-register and also there was no way of finding out which rooms were available on which nights. An actual lottery might well have been better from the start with less disappointment and hence bad publicity. My favourite subliminal message is;0

Just received the same email. Can't help feeling a bit peeved as I don't think I have seen a single person on this thread or Flyertalk receive any dates for Paris. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but I would have thought at least one person would have posted to say they had received confirmation. All very strange0

lhw suck! in my opinion! give hotel rooms out to people who dont register first time round then just open it up to everyone! i just got email too! how about a change of not nwlh = not worlds leading hotel perhaps?0

we just recived the no luck msg too and hubby counted down and was at the PC before the time so would love to know if anyone got London Weekend?0
-
I didn't get offered a room either - despite selecting Scottish hotel and both London ones with no limit on the dates and submitted request within 2 minutes!
Will be suprised if anyone has managed to get a room.0 -
Yeyyyyyy!!!! I got my email - no room - but at least I know now and can be liberated from the tyranny of the refresh button. I had become obsessed by this promotion. I have flights anyway and need a room, but didn't want to book anywhere else until I found out.
Well done to all that were successful:beer: and commisserations to those that had low numbers and were offered nothing:mad: .
Through this debacle I've discovered flyer talk which is a fantastic site I would otherwise not known about, so thanks to whoever posted first that they were covering this, as I've been following both slavishly. Through them I've booked 50% of a Hilton weekend in London for my birthday in January. The Kensington Hilton for £57.50 plus tax a night, which is great. If anyone's interested in a Hilton weekend, have a little look as the promotion ends tomorrow.0 -
perfect way to direct loads of traffic on a website, now you will be bombarded with emails from them on current offers etc.
Many companies do this when they are looking to sell on the company0 -
Leading Hotels of the World tried so hard with this brand damaging campaign and they'll failed again.
Seconds after 3pm and the form completed, thought I had a good chance of winning...
The match has been fixed!
After been told unsuccessful, checked the site and both my short-listed hotels have availability for the dates and for a number of room rates including the bog standard rooms.
What a sham...
