as the web site states: "The bonus interest will be paid monthly along with the standard interest payment. " does any one knows if this mean that they will pay the two lots of interest (basic plus the bonus, in my case 2%) in one lump or will they pay them individually on the same day??MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0

Natwest had a complaint letter from me 3 weeks ago, but their strategy seems to be to ignore customers. The interest for November has now been added and it seems it gets worse. Transfer from The Abbey was deposited 7 days after they said they'd sent it and started earning interest 2 days later. Yes nice little earner but we'll let you off that one.
Money from The Coventry Building Society, deposited a month after they said they'd sent it, and now from my calculation it seems that this didn't start earning interest until 7 days later!
They sent a cheque, it got delayed in the post - rubbish!!!!! You want my money, give me the interest I'm due.
COME ON NATWEST - PLAY FAIR!

Just to let you all know, Natwest have reduced all their savings rates this morning, by almost the same as the base rate drop last month. Bear this in mind for all future interest calculations. If it wasn't for the bonus my money would be leaving pretty sharpish0

Does anyone have the Natwest ISA phone number please?
I have checked my interest and do not think it is correct. Also, does anyone have the rates for November 2008 before NatWest dropped their rates today, and in October 2008 (after they dropped the rates)?
For your information, these are the rates for September and some point in October 2008:
(assuming you made the transfer before a certain date in November 2008):
If you invest: Gross inc Bonus AER inc Bonus
£27,000+ 7.13% 7.32%
£18,000-£26,999 6.98% 7.16%
£9,000-£17,999 6.70% 6.87%
£1-£8,999 6.51% 6.67%
I'm sure they dropped it by 0.5% sometime, but don't have the exact figures to hand. Last time I checked during the middle of October 2008, the rates were still advertised as above, so if an exact date of the drop in rates could be provided, this may help in providing an accurate estimate of the interest earned.0 -
