  • Somebody please give me some advice!! I transferred my 3 ISA's from Barclays. Finally money came over to Natwest today, but they have put £3600 into the ISA and the rest of my ISA transfer into the regular savings account they set up for me - despite me filling in the ISA transfer forms! I'm really worried now the money has been taken out of the ISA's that it wont be able to be put back in again.

if i was you i would find the nearest natwest branch open in your area tomorrow (saturday) and go in and see if they can sort it for you (or call them as natwest has telephone numbers directly to the branch), if the money has been taken out due to their error, i would assume they should be able to put it right without it affecting your allowances,

I presume you went to a branch initially. Phone their actionline....you probably wont get anywhere as they may not have the paperwork. Go to the branch where you went initially. See if theyre open Sat, thogh you wont get any joy as I imagine saturday they have just a skeleton staff, but you have atleast registered your complaint. I am sure this will be sorted out, but it means extra work for you.

Goodness, this makes me despair. Natwest are so incredibly utterly useless. I have a current account with them, and they've lost numerous cheques I cash in using the correct procedure; I had to chase them several times, they claimed the cheques were lost, but each time, some !!!!!! had just credited it to the wrong account, so someone else out there got given money money!

When my debit card got stolen, they took 2 MONTHS to send me another. So for 2 months, I spent my entire lunch hours queuing up, with my passport, to withdraw money at the counters.

I'm thinking of transferring my Icesave ISA to them, once I receive the certificate from the FSCS, but only because they're offering the best rate around. I have to say, reading all of this is making me really reluctant to give them yet more of my money for them to mess around with.

Well we were going to go fot the natwest isa and had to see the b/m to open a current account 1st. Given an appointment over the phone for 9am. We turned up at 9 am to find the bank shut. Banged on the door and a chap opened it saying "what do you want". Said we'd got an apoointment with Mr Banker and he said "oh that's me - I'm busy - could you hang around for 30 mins or so ". Outside on the street - not in the branch!
Told hime to stick it - if that's how they treat prospective customers face to face don't want any dealings with them!

Phew... after reading this thread, glad I didn't choose to open a Nat West ISA this morning...nearly did. It was only because I would have had to open an instant access account with them as well.
Frankly, got enough accounts to contend with as it is.

Just been down to my local branch of Northern Rock and actioned the tranfer of my B&B Cash ISA paying 3%
    Very friendly helpful staff.:D

Norther Rock Fixed Rate ISA Issue 88 paying 4.8%.

I know I could have got a higher rate from Nat West but....
