RBS to switch to Visa for Its Debit Cards

This is the new terms and conditions for Natwest customers current/basic bank account holders being refered too.

Which clearly states VISA DEBIT in it.

I would agree spindo as this is a clause from the new T&Cs

13.3.14 When we issue you with a replacement card, we may issue it under a different card scheme from the one which applies to your previous card (for example, we may replace a card issued under the Maestro scheme with one issued under the Visa scheme). We will only do this if we reasonably believe that the facilities offered by a card issued under the new scheme will, on balance, be as good as, or better than, those offered by your previous card.

Yep, a Visa Debit would 'on balance, be as good as, or better than' the Solo Card it should replace on the First Reserve Savings Account. A pure ATM card would not.

RBS have now switched to visa for its debit cards.
