Mine has been okay, better than my VW at any rate! It's amazing to drive and I feel like anything else would be a step backwards but I'm not ready for a big 157 and the Braera is too expensive and has an ugly bum, so it's back to the GT I might not be able to see out of, or the sensible 4-5 year old 3 series like yourself!

I haven't posted on your thread before but have been reading it and trying to keep up to date with how you're doing! it looks like you're doing really well!!!

i was just wondering what books are you planning to get and where are you going to sell them? I'm just trying to come up with some new ideas of making a little bit of extra cash to help pay off my own debts a bit quicker.

    Thanks

Nice to meet you needtopaymydebts. Traditionally I have gotten my books from library sales and sold on amazon. This works well for large print books which go for a bundle, and small paper backs where even if it goes cheap you can make a few pennies on postage. Amazon is good because it does not charge any fees unless you sell, and people go there looking for specific books and follow through on a purchase, random modern paperbacks just dont seem to sell on ebay. I did try green metropolis but 6 months and not a single sale doesn't endear it to me. I'm planning to get some books from a house clearance for my next lot, I am admittedly quite wary about buying in bulk completely unseen, but I figure even if I only sell for 5p each, if I sold them all I would be in profit. Although for the time to list, and wrap each book I would be gutted at only 5p per book profit! Since I should be outlaying about £150 to get the van and collect them and petrol and general stuff I've decided it's an acceptable risk, but its worth it starting small, as it is a slow and steady process and it does take a LOT of time, I spend about 6-8 hours a week wrapping books to post at the moment, and I know this will go up hugely when I get new stock in. If you are more into instant results STP or Dooyoo might be better, as in all 3 cases we're talking pennies not big £500 cheques landing on the doormat! That said I've been getting a steady minimum of £200 a month from amazon.

Ooh, Alfa Romeo GTs are nice. I have a soft spot for citroen c1's (although truthfully, given the chance to have any car I'd have a 1996 fiat uno :o no idea why either)

Anyway anyway anyway, i'd go for the Alfa Romeo GT! very pretty.

Well done on STP too, I'm planning on getting on that this afternoon. Was meant to be going shopping with mum but she skidded on the road this morning and never wants to drive again ever (until tomorrow morning) Yesterdays clothing splurge came to £66 I feel forfilled so it's back to saving now.

Hope your mum is okay Cinny. It's horrible when that happens but at least if its just a shock it'll wear off.

GT is top of my list but I need to get in one, truth be told my main issue with my 147 is the drivers seat isnt straight on to the steering wheel, and its causing me a lot of back problems, so if it has that issue then the entire range will be struck off my list!

Just got a nice £35 mystery shop for a tapas place. No fee just up to £35 reimbursement, but should still be a nice treat for mum as she loves it there.

She's okay I think, mainly shook up. I skidded on the road on my vespa when it started getting cold and was in shock until I parked up once I got home so I completely understand her not wanting to drive for today.

The mystery shop sounds good, is it soon when you do it?

This Saturday I think. Need mum to tell me when she wants to go. I love that about RE, can take a job then work out when you want to go afterwards.

Just got a call from Virgin Media to tell me I won an Amanda Wakeley dress from a competition in August - won an Amanda Wakeley dress from another company last year - wonder if its the same dress! Got a size smaller just in case as I got a 10 last time and it absolutely drowned me, and I'm a fairly busty 10! So that'll be nice just before Christmas I hope!

You lucky thing!! Amanda Wakeley's dresses are amazing.

Hope you and your mum have fun! Think of me shivering in a caravan while you're lovely and snug eating nice food. (I'm worrying now that my cooking wont fair too well in a 'kitchen' I don't know!)

Wouldn't worry about it, cooking isn't the point of a holiday!
