hi dinah have you done any crafting before or have i missed that post? I made all the stationery for our wedding and had a lovely time doing it. It did take a long time but i designed something complicated rather than something cheap and easy. But they were well worth the effort and i received so many compliments about the effort i had put in and how beautiful they were, made it all worth while.

Crafting not so much, certainly never to sell, but I put myself through my undergrad degree by selling my paintings so this is just a slightly different direction I'm exploring. Although want to experiment with glass in my new kiln too!

    Morning! :hello: Hope everyone's okay.

    Done anymore debt busting, Dinah?

Just been looking at my bank account and realized I have a couple hundred in my bank I can class as savings, so I'll be scooting them over when my savings account opens. :T Hoping it'll all mount up soon, really want to save £1,000 before my 18th so I can show my Grandad (he's a major saver) Make the old lad proud.

Hope you have a nice weekend with your OH before he goes back home, and have a nice holiday Tete, incase I don't manage to get back on before. (and i've only just figured out what your username means in english! :o )
  • :hello: Morning Cinny and everyone! Well done on that £200 - sometimes it mounts up when you're not looking - I find if you know how much you've got you tend to spend it :o.

Well I got to the bottom of my bank mystery. Some scamp has managed to obtain my bank details from somewhere and went on a little spending spree. The Fraud Investigation Unit rang me last night and went through a list of transactions, all around £200 a time at places like JD Sports where I've never bought anything from in my life. Anyway, all is well - they've frozen my account and reimbursed all the funds. OH is leaving work early today to come down and accompany me to the counter while I get money out for the holiday - for some reason he doesn't like the idea of me walking through Middlesbrough with several hundred pounds in my bag :o. So it'll take a couple of weeks to get sorted as I have to sign some declaration to say it wasn't me spending the money and they'll send out a new card, but it's all been pretty painless and quite exciting really :D.

Haha, Head in the Clouds - figuratively as I can be a bit dotty and literally as I'm almost six foot! Suits me on all levels! :D

Must of been *ahem* vair classy fraudsters :D Glad you've got it sorted though. It really winds me up when people do this, slackers taking peoples hard earnt money. But atleast you've got it all back. Any chance of catching who took it?

I was quite shocked when the nice pre-recorded lady told me how much I had. Mentally bought some shoes and a new bag. But I will behave! Getting some warmer clothes today (just £3 tops from matalan and bits like that, doesn't matter if they get mucked up when walking!) and dropping in at approved food on the way home from work to hopefully get some cut price goodies.

Oh, and just requested my pennies from STP. All £5.01 of it. The mister is at work all of tomorrow so I'll start work on building it all back up again. Got my dooyoo voucher too. put it away for a rainy day!

I was wondering this - it was all done online so they must have a delivery address, unless they've set up some kind of PO Box in which case I don't know if these are monitored. I'm not really bothered to be honest as long as I get my money back!!

Very British altogether! I check the weather all the time, then I still take brolly, mitts, scarf, sun lotion and sunglasses out with me anyway :o no wonder my bag strap broke!
