Hi Dinah,
I think just remind your Mum about why you are selling the books and that you are nearly there. I'm sure she is very proud of you so far and it won't be much longer until you are debt-free!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Oh I know I'll get by, it's just tighter than I like it to be. I have 3k ish spread through the savings accounts ready to pay various things off, so if I have an emergency it's okay.

She is proud of me, but at the moment my room is a double bed surrounded by boxes of ebay stuff, doesn't matter that its my room the mess bothers her! Still, gonna do my best to show her how much I have made so far just off the books, and that this could pay for the new car since mine is on its way out. 5 years old and already the engine is dying, not a good sign!
I figure between the debt still outstanding and the car upgrade I could use about 10k in the next few months, so really need books to up the anti, don't think STP or dooyoo would make that kind of pennies even if I was doing it all day every day!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Sounds like your mum has a bit of a houseful – if she's keen for you to get your own house, you could try to convince her that short term storage (mess) means that she'll have a whole room free quicker... when you move in with OH.
I love my mum to bits, but I'm pretty sure that she couldn't wait for me to move out so she could turn my bedroom into a guest room, lol.:rotfl:
p.s I'm so pleased for you that you've ditched another year apart – I bet you're chuffed to bits!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Well mum has agreed I can sell some more books, now to find some! Oh she really doesn't want me to leave - we get on really well, she'd have me living here forever if she could!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hey Dinah!
My OH is back in 15 days!!!only for five days though but still am really looking forward to it!
I have to look for a new car myself in the new year(though there is nothing wrong with mine!!) its company policy that I cannot use a car for business after its ten years old and sadly mine is!! could do with something more sensible to be honest as it is a little two seater sporty thing
Your OH will be back in no time Dinah
Take Care

Yey - OH's both back for Christmas!
What kind of car are you looking for? I'm kinda stumped on what to get tbh, Needs to be reliable and with good visability for work, so probably 3-5 years old, and fun and comfy for me because I spend 2-3 hours a day in it! So far my short list consists of a Alfa Romeo GT (have an alfa now, love it but apparently this has visability issues), and a BMW 3-series (but seems too sensible even if nice to drive and be inside!).
Got to another £5 payout on STP last night, thats the second in 4 days!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
