Oh my god Lara!! Congratulations! dodgy hugs!:grouphug:So cute where he did it too - great story for the kids (or am I getting too ahead?) 'Daddy proposed to Mummy in Paris'

My weekend plans went totally wrong nicely wrong but not a spot on Laras, spent Saturday curled up on the sofa watching Igor and Grand National. Today me and OH went to the cinema, out for Sunday lunch, then shopping. In which I almost bought way too much at Primark but ditched it as the queues were way too long, and the store was so hot!

Hope you all have a nice Sunday night!

Hi girls and CONGRATULATIONS LARA!!! How lovely, and how lovely that he didn't do it up the Eiffel Tower, it's so unoriginal. Sorry but I had to laugh at:

I wouldn't have booked somewhere so cheap if I had known OH's plans. Serves him right for leaving me in charge of all the arrangements.

Haha, you'd think if he was planning that he'd have booked you in somewhere nice! Will bear that in mind though thanks, still not booked any yet. I really like the look of http://www.expedia.co.uk/pub/agent.dll?qscr=dspv&flag=l&itid=&itdx=&itty=&from=f&foop=0&hwrq=&htid=1133645&spsh=&spsi=&crti=4&nfla=1&mdpcid=expe.uk.001.010.01.ExpediaHotelImagesUK.Hotel_Review but it's a bit pricy and in the middle of the red light area, so looking for something a bit cheaper but none of them look a patch on Le Chat Noir!

Did a 7 mile walk today and went up Roseberry Toppng, this big hill near where I live - did it all in one go, not a patch on Helvellyn! Still a lovely walk though and I think I've caught the sun a bit. Had a bad spendy weekend again - bought some nw walking trousers, tickets for Graham Coxon at this tiny pub in Newcastle next month :j and also one of thoe electric cold sore machine things from Boots as I have another one already and am at the end of my tether with them  And I'm at the hairdressers on Thursday and haven't booked a hotel yet  I daren't even check my bank account!

Hope you've all had a good weekend, glad you're feeling better Cinny and hello CMD!

Was great weather for walking today, Tete! That hotel looks really nice! As for it being in the red light district it's just a bit of erm, added culture?! I found out the name of the hotel my parents stayed in and loved though, Hotel Roma Sacre Coeur - hope I spelt that right! They managed to walk most places, and it's right next to a Metro station. PLUS, there was astro turf on the stairs!

    Hi Flower, GiSi and CMD!:hello:

The Chat Noir is also slightly out of our price range unfortunately, as well as being in amongst sex shops and 'massage parlours'. That one looks nice Cinny thanks, website doesn't seem to mention the astro turf which would seem to be hiding its light under a bushel somewhat..! I've sent off a list to OH, with my two preferences on it to see what he thinks. I'm completely bamboozled by it all, I've even been on that Google streetmap thing to try to get an idea of the area, and they're all just merging into one now. Hopefully we'll get it booked tomorrow though.

I just looked in the mirror and I'm bright red, I obviously couldn't feel the sun behind the Moors wind! Ugh, well night night all, short week next week :D

Hope you slapped the aftersun on Tete! Just think, the red will go soon and you'll be left with a bootifully sun kissed face.

Just figured out, with my day off sick, I only did 25 hours last week. Ho hum! My mum sat me down last night and said 'Kate, you need to spend more' The Cheek! I guess she has a point though, I do stress way too much over saving. Although I did point out me and Richie have been out to the cinema and for a meal twice this week, so I can't be that bad!
So on the way to work this morning, I bought my lunch and a magazine, that'll show her!

LOL at Cinny! Your Mum sounds like my Mum- a bad influence! Congratulations Lara! I'm really happy for you! My weekend was not half as cheap as I wanted it to be! We went to Harrogate on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was to meet OH's friend and her fiance and we ended up getting all girly and talking about wedding plans, they're getting married at Rudding Park next year and I thought places I was looking at cost a lot! Luckily she's marrying a Rich Boy whose parents are paying for the wedding; my Mum has offered to buy my fancy shoes and that's about it! We went back to H'gate again yesterday to go clothes shopping for OH, he ended up not getting anything and I bought books and Blu-Rays! Oh dear! We also went to the cinema and watched Monsters Vs Aliens, it was really good! It cheered OH up as he's coming down with cold and feeling sorry for himself!

Oh god, my computer's done that stupid thing it used to and not separated my paragraphs! It was nicely spaced out so try to fill in the gaps yourself!
