Flower - I know what you mean about paying off debt on low incomes, OH is on credit cards and overdrafts, he really wants to be DF but his money barely touches the sides some months. I'm sure you'll think of other ways, if we all put our noggins together. Car boots in the summer always have a good outcome!

I know how he feels!! Some months we can barely make ends meet let alone make a start on the debt.
On the plus side the debt is not that much in the grand scheme of things and we are the credit cards have all been cut up.

Cinny you should know you can always rely on Dinah to be practical!!:rotfl:

I think I have an unfortunate trait to be practical too much sometimes, don't let myself make any reckless decisions before fully weighing up the pros and cons, especially financial.

Well if you fancy lending me your practicality while you're on holiday I won't mind at all! I'll do a swapsies for my impulse buying so you don't feel bad treating yourself on holiday. Hows about it?!

I was woken this morning at 5 by my brother launching himself on top of me (he's 23, and about 8ft!) My parents got me an extra present - complete penguins classic collection audiobooks. I feel well and truely spoilt, OH is taking me for fish and chips by the locks this afternoon for my birthday dinner. He's on a shoe string budget but it sounds lovely to me.

My first doings as an ''adult'' (I'll use the term loosely) - I've applied for my ISA.

Are you feeling any better today Dinah? ROTE? (And your daughter, hope she's better too!)

    Have a nice day Girls!

Thanks Birdie, if I'm good I might even get a can dandelion and burdock.
Any progress on the hide-a-way craft table?!

Thanks Poddle. I'll try to be as immature as possible! :D

Sadly no! This could be a deal breaker! I wonder if I could barter them down a bit... to about £200! ;)

That was an AMAZING table! If the bartering doesn't work, any other ideas? :)

Happy Birthday Cinny! Sounds like a nice lunch out. Don't think I'd want to borrow the compulsive spending, would find it far too stressfull! When I was 19 I added up all the money I randomly spent on clothes, books, dvds in a year, and realised I could have bought a nearly new little car with it - since then I've been pretty sensible with the spending, always hunting for the lowest prices, never buying a new book in an actual shop etc!
