The one we went into was Boro, but I think OH had seen the same thing in Durham so I guess you could try any of them?

Sorry about NIM's job, it really irks me when people don't contact you when they say they will, it's just rude! I once went for an interview (that was a complete disaster but that's another story!) and the bloke said he'd let me know by the end of the week, 3 weeks later a 'thanks but no thanks' letter arrived, I felt like sending it back with 'No s**t Sherlock!' written on it in marker pen!

I know! I went for an interview on Thursday which went 'okay' and they said they'd be in touch this week so I'm in the nail-biting-heart in the mouth each time the phone rings/I get an email phase at the mo!

Had a nice day yesterday and cooked Steak and Guinness pie and home-made treacle sponge for my parents - it felt a bit silly eating hearty winter warmers when it was all sunshine and blue sky outside, but not my fault the weather forecast got it wrong :rotfl:

Wise little Cinny is right Dinah, just convince NIM that the job was talked up and wouldn't be that good anyway, the perfect one is around the corner!

Hmmm might have to pop to the Thomas Cook in Guisborough then.

He tried calling the bloke but no answer, he's going to call the farmhouse this afternoon

On the money saving front, NIM and I have decided to up the £10 a day challenge to £20 a day, since there is now two of us and we need the extra money to have a hope in hell of hitting our deposit target in two years. However, since we're away for the first two weeks of April it'll have to be a £15 a day month, and May will start the full £20 off.

Good luck with the challenge Dinah! Once we get online at home I'll have to try it myself, although I've tried it before but lost interest about 10 days in, I'm rubbish at keeping up with challenges I set myself, my attention span is so short! Maybe if I set myself a £5 a day target and see how I go I can up it if I manage to keep to it!

Afternoon! Getting really excited over the thought of maybe getting a Pashley now, I've decided if I really do like it when I see it on Wednesday I'll buy it only after I've reached my 1k goal. That way I'll have enough in my savings for OHs laptop, plus £150 for any extras. Gives me a bit of a push to actively save now, an incentive!

The weather has gone really funny here, one second all bright sunny and still, then the next it's grey, really windy and peeing it down!

Birdie - I did the £10 a day challenge for a month last year, I lasted 2 days. I'm a trooper, I know. Good luck if you do it! And good luck to your £20 a day Dinah!

That sounds like a good plan! It's a much better plan than buying now and paying it for it later and gets you into good habits for when you're saving for the big stuff.

I'm so frustrated that all my plans are on hold until I get another job - basically I'm just getting more into debt at the moment as I have no real income and I was starting to make an impact on my debts and heading towards becoming DF - GRRR!!

Luckily I've just got a tiny bit of freelance work translating some craft books into English (from Spanish) which is quite easy and it's a good way of getting my brain working! Hope I still remember some Spanish! Otherwise I'll be pestering Tete and CMD (and anyone else who speaks Spanish, please!) going 'what on earth is una lentejuela?' :rotfl:

Oh, it's a sequin... who knew?

Here it is bright and sunny but peeing it down with rain and it's all windy. Very odd!

I'm very much looking forward to getting online so I can put stuff on ebay, my Mum 'kindly' reminded me that I've still got stuff at hers but I'm not taking it until I can get it on ebay or OH will go mad with the clutter! I'm also thinking about making cards and stuff to sell but not too sure how to go about it, I'll have to check out Etsy and see if I can sell some things at work. This is all reliant on my having enough time to actually sit and make loads!
