'what on earth is una lentejuela?' :rotfl:
Oh, it's a sequin... who knew?
Every day's a school day. That word reminds me strangely of the word for contact lens (which escapes me just at the minute), could be quite a comical mix-up.
Cinny, you're so good, I've blatantly just paid for our Eurostar tix on my OD because the site wasn't working for OH and I didn't have enough in my account to pay for both (pay day Thurs ), it's getting paid straight off on Thursday though!!! Poddle I don't envy you at all, must be really frustrating to see your debt going up and not down now that you've made the decision to sort it. I'm sure something will come along soon!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Poddle I really feel for you, it must be awful being stuck when you're desperate to get working on the debts! I hope that you get a job soon so you can get moving again!
I can't help with the Spanish, I want to learn it but I just haven't had the chance, I keep hoping that there will be an adult learning course locally every year but every year I'm let down! I've got 'My Spanish Coach' for my DS which I should start playing as a starting point!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. NIMs in a bit of a huff over the job, luckily he realised before I did and apologised and said he wasn't really going to jack in the call center job, he is just dissapointed. I'm really dissapointed too, would have been so perfect for him. Plus the money would have meant that we could make inroads into the house deposit, instead of just treading water. It's like you can see where you want to be, and you want to get there, but the ability to get there is being withheld.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Has he actually heard anything yet then?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
It is disappointing but he just has to shake it out of his head and move on. He will get a job it just may take a little longer than first thought, this recession is a real PITA but there is still work out there. You have plenty of time to build up the deposit, just remember what a good position you are in whilst you are 'treading water', at least you aren't drowning!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. No I know, but if anything were to happen to even his 14 hours a week, we would be, we'd eat through the small ammount of savings in only a few months, it's a bit scary. I know a lot of people are in the same boat, even a fair few in here, job issues have never been so widespread before and its scaryfying.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
