OH's best friend is out of work and he had to go and 'sign on' last week and he said that the job centre is awful. Full of chavs (he actually overheard a conversation about how some bloke nearly got knived and said 'Maaaate, what ya doing? I'll deck ya'. Anyway, where was I? Yes, awful JC, the staff are so used to work dodgers who lie about applying for jobs that they didn't believe him when he told them that he had genuinely applied for jobs! I think that there should be a job centre for horrible chavvy work dodgers and one for nice people who want to work and need help to find it!

OH worked at the Job Centre for a while a couple of years back and says pretty much the same, especially around the, ahem, Teesside area :o

Lol, they're about the same here in middle-class towns on the South coast. SO depressing!

It really is, it makes me wonder how bad they are in the 'bad' towns!

Loving your little quote in your sig Cinny, where's it from??

It's Winston Churchill, when he was the Under Secretary of the Colonial Office I think. 190-something!

So behind with work today, not been focused at all! I'll do better tomorrow, promise :D

ETA: Ooh, Pretty! I like the ruffle-wave thing going on at the back.
Our JC is quite nice! Been in there a couple times, with friends or when my sister was looking for a job. Thankfully it isn't majorly chavvy here, kids seem to want to work (admittedly, it is all media courses!) so they take you seriously when you say you're trying!

    Hey Ladies

Birdie, so sorry to hear about your job stuff, and NIM's disappointment. It's definitely not easy at the moment. I'm hoping to get another part time job when all my uni applications get finished (sometime next century, lol). Or also join the £10 a day challenge. I have been a bit naughty on dooyoo and only got £5 instead of the £20 I was aiming for. And I have been ok on the daily clicks too, but Bare don't seem to give me any of the mystery shops I've been applying for.

So glad all your debt is done Dinah, you must be so pleased. Lots to celebrate in Egypt.

Like todays dress of the day from the front, the back is odd, I just don't get why they feel the need to gather and swell it like hotel curtains.

Bare is the one company I won't work for as I don't like the waiting to find out, its more hassle than its worth. NIM got a card on the Irish lotto for today I think it is, £30k if we get 5 out of 7 numbers, that's my plan for today.
