Ton francais est tres bein maintenant, je pense que tu n'est pas besion de practiquer plus! (errr, did that make any sense? I haven't really spoken it since college!)

Yeah, Tete, you'll be fine - it'll all come flooding back as soon as you get off the train! So glad you've finally booked it, and it's not too far away :)

I did try to post earlier, but stupid computer decided to get rid of it. Pfft.

Anyway, your weekend sounded lovely, Cinny, if you can't have a bit of an extended shopping spree on your birthday - when can you?!

Dinah, glad you're better, must've been pretty bad to keep you away from MSE! Enjoy the silver lining of losing all those inches :) good bargain shopping too! Was NIM supposed to have heard about the job by now?

Pashley is a make of bike, really classic ones too! Sadly it doesn't pedal for you, but you could sit on the handle bars and get your OH to do the work instead. This is the one; http://www.pashley.co.uk/products/princess-sovereign.html

Yikes about your job Birdie! Maybe once things are stable you could take a few holiday days off and just spend them going to nearby places instead? Was just about to ask after the DOTD, but I think the last thing you'll be needing is to be found gawping over pretty dresses!

Love those bikes, but they're sooooo expensive!

Sorry about scary job news, Birdie, not much you can do though I suppose, except keep your head down and make sure you're doing the best you can - try not to stress about it though x

London thing was in Thomas Cook I think Dinah, you'll have to go in the branch I think because it's a combination of various deals that make it so cheap. There seem to be various dates through the year that it applies to so you'd have to ask. The hotel we were offered was a nice looking 4* Novotel in Hammersmith, but not sure how dodgy an area that is (if at all)? Glad you're up and about today anyway. And all those clothes...! I was just looking at a pretty £40 Topshop frock but you've got about 6 items for that price and now I'm rethinking :s Shame about NIM's job, it really annoys me when they can't even contact you to say you've been unsuccessful, it's just rude after you've taken the time to apply.

Birdie, oh no, that must be so stressful. Fingers crossed for you, hope everything works out!

Cinny, LOVE that bike!!! You could cycle around country villages with a headscarf on buying fresh bread and pots of jam with little bits of fabric on the lid to put in the basket :)

Hi Poddle, hope you're well - good weekend?

I think my plan to revise my French might involve watching Amelie on repeat over and over and working myself up into a frenzy of excitement :D

Oooh, Cinny, I can see you on that posh bike! Typical of you to choose the model with Princess in the name though!

I'm trying not to worry about the job, they are scoring us on a points system so I either 'pass' or I don't, not a lot I can do about it! I've been looking at other jobs and it seems that I'm trained for nothing! I've been working for my company my entire working life in various roles and my job experience within the company is pretty good, I know most of the systems etc, but outside of the little world of the company I'm useless!

Sorry about NIM's job, it really irks me when people don't contact you when they say they will, it's just rude! I once went for an interview (that was a complete disaster but that's another story!) and the bloke said he'd let me know by the end of the week, 3 weeks later a 'thanks but no thanks' letter arrived, I felt like sending it back with 'No s**t Sherlock!' written on it in marker pen!

    Lol!

Grief I'm sure I'd fail if I was scored, I'm not the most attentive!

Which Thomas Cook was it Tete? Might have to send NIM to have a look!

No no, don't use the sad face!! He should look at it as, he might of loved the sound of this job but there will be something better coming next. OH had so many interviews, kept getting his hopes up, thankfully he finally landed a job at Ladbrokes - You kind of have to keep on telling him (and yourself) these things. I know the saying is so cliche but it's true. He'll get there!

And with that I'm off to eat some crackers, and pour over Pashley print offs!
