    Evening everyone

Can I just have a little rant, please? Am going down to London for the day in 3 weeks cos me and my dad have this tradition of going to the Ideal Home Show each year (we call it our father/daughter day). I booked some train tickets today and it cost £44. Finished the booking and came onto MSE website and first thing I saw was Martin's 'save £5 on trains to London' post. If I'd gone to trainline through MSE instead of quidco I'd have got a £5 discount off the ticket!!!! that's much better than the 2% I may get on quidco  Oh, and being a bit stupid I went onto dooyoo and did a review of Muller Light chocolate orange yoghurt and put loads of work into it.......but put it in the wrong section so it's with the vanilla chocolate yoghurt. What a muppet :wall:

Someone fetch me a straight jacket!!!!
Let's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:

Aw Pilchard! Let this be a lesson to you then - ALWAYS consult Martin before doing ANYTHING! :) And as for Dooyoo, you can probably email them and ask them to move it, or is it possible to delete it and resubmit?

Dinah is this the same friend that has the impossible long list of requirements in a man? Well if anyone can find her one I'd say you're the girl!

Went for a very moneysaving long walk on the moors today. The track was really muddy though so I was walking along through the heather and stepped straight into a hidden little stream. We were about three miles from the car at this point so I had a bit of a childish hissy fit and started charging along the track saying "What's the point in worrying about a bit of mud when I've got one soaked foot?!" and was stomping through the 'bit of mud' when suddenly I was ankle deep - the dry foot - in this BOG, gah!! Serves me right for being a brat I suppose, and at least OH got a laugh out of it (silently whilst cuddling me in, but I could feel his chest shaking with it!) and I've now been re-christened Bog Monster, another unflattering pet name for me! So on top of the 7 miles, we also popped to the seaside on the way home and the sea air's knocked me out! Come Dine With Me has now finshed so I'm off to the land of nod. Hope everyone's had a good weekend! x

    Morning everyone!

Sounds like a fun walk then Tete! At least your OH didn't stand pointing and laughing unable to help in a fit of giggles like a *certain* man I know. If it helps I was re-named piggly-wig after falling in the mud years ago!

Ma dragged me shopping on saturday - and although I was good and only bought things I needed (socks ect!) I managed to spend a small island, so my bank balance is low again. Got £17 for two old DS games (in HMV vouchers) so put that to one side for presents. Was bed bound most of yesterday so watched Wuthering Heights on itv3, fell inlove with Heathcliffs face, then quickly out of love when he went a bit coo-coo. Still pretty sad though, made me well up and miss OH, but I blame that on the sickness. Finshed my book, started another. And that's my weekend! Planning on going on a bike ride tomorrow afternoon, our treadmill has kicked the bucket!

*edit* Just noticed the diary trial section, pretty good idea I think!

Haha, I just get called piggy-wig on a general basis whenever I eat anything! :(

I noticed the Diary board too, good idea as a lot of the time the diaries are being posted on all the time and possibly keep DFW queries from the front page and from being read. I quite fancy a diary of my own but don't really have any need for one. I guess hijacking this one will have to do me.

Ugh, I've agreed to meet up with my ex on Friday afternoon as I have it off. We broke up like 6 years ago and have been friends since, but since he broke up with his gf of 4 years at Christmas he's been in touch a lot more than normal, though he lives at the other end of the country now so it's not too bad. But he's home this weekend and like I say I agreed to meet him on the afternoon but he's just been in touch on Facebook saying lets go clubbing on Friday night and how great I look in profile pic  The last thing I want to do is go out drinking with him tbh, I feel like he either wants someone to go out with so he can go on the pull, in which case I'll be left on my own, or I'm worried he might get a bit silly and try it on with ME  ... Anyway, sorry, I'm just venting really, I'm going to make up some "going for tea with cousin" lie and make him go for tea and cake instead! (OH is away at uni thur/fri/sat and I was sort of looking forward to having the evening in on my own :o) Sorry for the rant, bloody men!

I'd be a bit warey of him, tbh Tete! But that's just me, I read way much into anything. Just mention how lovely your OH is if he starts getting the wrong idea. 'he's about as tall as a sky scraper, picks up cars in his spare time, has a wonderful head of hair!' Hope you have fun though, I fancy going to a little tea room cafe now though!

Oh, I don't get the cuteness of 'piggy-wig' if I'm eating too much, we get straight down to calling each other fatty. Young love 'n all!

*edit* just up to £680 now, think I'll push past £700 at the end of the week. My brother has started his saving funds again now aswell, he earns about 4times as much as me but seems to think we're racing.

Good morning girls! I went home poorly sick on Thursday and stayed off work on Friday so I've had no access to MSE since Thursday afternoon, I've been going mad! OH has orders to ring BT and get the phoneline activated and order broadband today or he will be in big trouble!

I can't even try to comment on what I've missed, head is still a little wonky feeling! Scary stuff about your ex Tete! It certainly sounds a little suspicious, I'd meet him in daylight in a cafe and talk a lot about my OH if it was me!

OH and I had a little fallout this weekend (the sheen is wearing off living together now and reality is kicking in! LOL!) as I'm sick of him constantly tidying up after me! I turn around for 5 minutes and the book/magazine I've been reading has been dumped on my desk in the spare room, my slippers are always hidden somewhere different so I have to go on a big hunt for them when I get home and my wardrobe is now full of stuff that has been shoved in there as he couldn't be bothered to think about where to put things so he just bundles it up and throws it in! I'm not even going to think about the kitchen drawers that are so full of rubbish it's unreal, but at least it isn't on show which is his biggest issue! I told him off about it saying that he makes me feel uncomfortable because I can't have anything out and I'm just going to live in the spare room because he can't bug me in there! He said that he'll try to relax but he is a bit OCD, when he was a teenager he got mad at his parents and trashed his room, but then started to move the stuff around so it looked neater and everything was equally spaced! LOL! Anyway, rant over, I'm back at work now so I don't have to put up with him tidying around me until 5pm!

Did you enjoy Red Nose Day Cinny? I know how much you were working yourself up to it!

Aw, I can see where your OH is coming from, I get pretty locked on with things when I'm tidying it's crazy, but I can see why you'd be getting annoyed with it too! The only thing I could think to do to get back at him would be to start moving his stuff, maybe not ideal for someone with slight OCD but still a good way to give him a taste of his own medicine!

I was bitterly disappointed! They guilt tripped me with sad movies of little kiddies dying and didn't give me enough decent comedy to compensate - french and saunders and outnumbered were the only things that made me giggle, the rest was rubbish. I gave another £5 though, I suppose french and saunders were worth it alone!

He said I looked like a pregnant sow once after a particularly big meal...

Your savings are going well! Do you think you might make your target by end March? Maybe your bro's got sick of everyone comparing him to you and saying how irresponsible he is with money!

Birdie I have to say that would annoy me as well. Sounds as though he's making you feel uncomfprtable in your own home and that's not on at all. As long as the place isn't dirty you should be allowed a little bit of mess.

I'm not too worried about the ex, like I don't think he's going to attack me or anything, I just don't want the awkwardness if he tries to confess his undying love or something. I might be overestimating his feelings a bit here! I hope I am!

    Alright, you win!!

I hope you're right about your ex too, it's great you've managed to stay friends and it would be a waste if he was to get a bit keen. He might just want some harmless female company if he's missing his now ex.

I don't think I will make it, seems impossible! If I manage a NSW I'll be able to move £50 over at the end of the week so fingers crossed. If I hadn't been a spend thrift over the past few weeks I might of made it, but can't dwell on that! Found some more DS games to to trade in, so I'll be able to use that money for extra birthdays. I want to be amazingly MSE this week, I'll try my best!

Yikes - This is my 1400 post!
