I use mosey a lot! And butchers  'have a butchers at that!' I'm very classy
As for the £9 mug, I think I know which one you mean! It's vair vair pretty, but I'm sure you can get ones quite the same from wilkinsons... I think!
Pilchard - I regret to say Sh*tface will be taken over by the cupcake again tomorrow! I could use a picture of an apple or something healthy instead though? Yikes, 3 weddings! I have never been to a wedding in all my life, miffed as I used to go to church every sunday and lived in the old vicars house, not a single wedding, ever!
Dinah - it's a pain them not letting NIM open an account, does he need one or was it just for the MS? If he does, I'm sure he'll get one in the end.
Payday today :j (as is every Friday but it doesn't make it any less fun) moved a little over to savings, will move more over after the weekend. Secretly quite glad OH is at work most of the weekend, means I won't spend all my money. So glad the weather is looking up, will be able to get back to our £5 spend weekends.0 -
Think it's alright to wear my red nose at work? I can't actually breathe because of it, and when I swallow my ears pop!
Just on lastminute, £339 for 7 days in a 5* hotel in Tunisia half board *sighs*0 -
Shh Cinny, stop making my feet itch! Just remembered it's Dad's birthday next Sunday and I don't know what to get him. He says he wants a second hand keyboard (the musical kind) from the classifieds in the paper :rolleyes:Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Oh I think that might be a bit beyond me!!! I don't have your skills and talent I'm afraid. I'm thinking of a Who Do You Think You Are book as he likes tracing family history. I'm always getting him books though and he never reads them...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

hmm, couldn't you set him up on findmypast if he can use the internet? (i know my Da can't!) buy him some credits, there are always money off codes flying about too.0

Hmm, well I think he likes to think of himself as computer literate but he's not really! Probably safer with an old-school book. Still a bit stuck, will have to hit the shops at the weekend I think.
Very quiet on here today, hope everyone's not working too hard - it's Friday!! 3 1/2 hours til the weekend!
(I really really fancy a glass of vino tonight. Keep thinking may as well chuck it all in as I had some on Tuesday, but that seems like a distinct lack of willpower...)Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hi Everyone,
Sorry to barge in, I'm new to the post but have been entertained over the last few months with your posts, and just wanted to say congrats on everyones attempts at getting debt free.
Having cleared my debts on a number of occasions only to build it up again, it's time to get rid of them forever (well not forever cos there is always more shoes/bags to buy). OH has no debts or credit cards and it would be nice to eventually be under the same roof with him and not have to worry about money.
It's very quiet on here, hope Friday 13th has nothing to do with it!0 -
Hi Swinstie! Haha, the traffic was really quiet this morning as well and I wondered whether everyone had just stayed in bed to avoid any bad luck! Maybe that's what it is.
I myself am debt free, and can vouch for the fact that watching savings build up is as exciting as watching debts go down so I like to keep to my DFW waysWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hi Tete,
Either that or they are all off doing something exciting for Red Nose Day!
It would be great to be (back) in your position being debt free, unfortunately I'm a sucker for shopping but have been trying my best to stay away from the dreaded shops and considering I have enough clothes to open my own shop I really should never set foot in one again - unless I suddenly gain five stone that is.
As for savings, I know Martin keeps saying to pay debts with savings but mines are for essentials, ok a holiday isn't really an essential but as we're visiting my sis in Canada who I've not seen for two years then I consider that a worthwhile spend. And the new fridge freezer since mines decided to pack in after six short years!
Will keep up with the savings though, should really open an account where you can't lift any money.
P.S. I'm a newbie so hope you don't mind stupid questions about abbreviations that you all use!0
