Black n red notebook very MS yes, but not as pretty! I'm aquarius and very like my horoscope descriptions - long limbed with a funny hooter, brainy and eccentric
Lara your BF deserves a slap for using those machines!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hi Lara!!
Oh my god it infuriates me so much when OH uses the cash machines that charge you, so i know how you feel! I have manage to 'train' him since then though. He knows he will get a lecture if he uses them!
I'm just trying to make a birthday card for OHs sister, i was going to buy one as i thought i wouldnt have time - but i was horrified at the prices of even the smallest cards!! I dont ever remember them being that expensive. There were cards in there for £5 and they were nothing special!!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Cinny, thanks for the foodie link :-) You should definitely dig out your old bike and go for a ride, it's getting more like spring now.
You'll have to let us know if you manage to snaffle one (got the word in there!)
There's a lovely bike ride just 5 minutes from my house, all winding country lanes and big ol' smelly cows. Will have to drag OH off pretty early for it though.
Are they any deals you can get for opening a joint account? Like signing up bonus or something? Must be so odd to see another person taking money out 'your' account.
Just been faffing on Martins premium bond calculator, looks like I have a 48% chance of winning £200 this year :money: and a 1 in 155,972 chance of winning the 'jackpot' what a party pooper Martin is!0 -
Haha, I think I have 2 premium bonds, what are my chances?!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

1 in 1 for a million I'd say, maybe your cheque is lost in the post? I'm pretty sure that's what happened to mine.
I'm going to cover the black n red pad tonight with some spare scrap book paper, shall be pretty in no time!0 -
I think I've got about £120 in premium bonds which I've had for about 20 years (God, I'm old!) and I keep thinking about cashing them in, but there's always that teeny tiny chance that I may win - I think Martin says it's about 2% chance of winning 50 quid... Still, 50 quid...
Cinny, I've just made 2 batches of your cookies for a bake sale at my OHs work for Comic Relief - how Stepford wife am I?! I made white chocolate and cranberry and double chocolate chip *dribble* - is there any chance I can have a get out clause from my no-chocolate lent?! I'm beside myself waiting for them to come out of the oven and then I have to keep a close eye on them so OH doesn't snaffle (yesssssss!) any before tomorrow.LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Ooh, I have a money-related thing too! I dug out the paperwork for the Egg loan I have, and it turns out I'm paying that devious payment protection scam. I didn't know I had it, and ironically it doesn't actually cover me for redundancy, just sickness and death. But anyway, it has cost me a whopping...(drumroll please)... £1,198.16! PLUS another £300 interest!
If I can claim that back, I will be a VERY happy lady (and it should ease the pain of not being allowed a chocolate chip cookie - just!) yay!

Yes, I likey! It's for the greater good, and someone should test them - I wouldn't want to poison anyone! And you can say it doesn't count because it's 'business' - ha!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380
