Yikes, could you and his mother both tell her?! But then where do you draw the line? Are you going to keep tabs on him for the rest of his life periodically warning off every girl he's with? Could just get B*ST*RD branded on his forehead, would save you a lot of work!

As for the books, 2p profit?! What are you thinking? Get yourself some new reading matter from readitswapit, pronto!! you'll have the time to read as you won't be packaging so much up every night!

Lol I'm glad you say this! I was thinking 'well, 2p is 2p and I do say every little helps....' and technically I'll be outlaying £1 a time or so on readitswapit I guess, but still, time for some new books. Makes me very happy. Not sure anyone will swap with me though as a newbie with no stars!

I don't think I can realistically tell his new gf to stay clear, she won't listen anyway, it's one of those things you can only learn for yourself. I just wish the world was different and men came with dooyoo ratings :rotfl:

Everyone has to start somewhere I guess, we've all built up ebay reputations from scratch...

This has tickled some memory I think I have, maybe I'm thinking of mysinglefriend.com, a dating site where you get friends' testimonies before you decide whether or not to contact someone. OK, I guess they're not impartial...

Move over OH there is a new love in my life and it's name is readitswapit! Already had my first email asking if I want to do a swap!

Maybe I should set up a 'name and shame' website for all the useless ex's, women can post a photo and their failings  Think there might be legal ramifications of that one!

Lol I've only put up about 6 books so far and 1 has already swapped, it's awesome! Going to try to put the rest up before the end of the day, not strictly moneymaking but I feel an addiction coming on!

  • I may have to check this ReadItSwapIt out! I do have mountains of books acquired through doing an Eng Lit degree! However I'm not sure that I'd want to get rid of any lol. I may get my sisters to donate their unwanted books to me and then I can get a whole host of new things to read for myself! :p I think I hear my bookcase groaning at the prospect....

I have started AQA now. Passed my first review ok! I must say I was nervous, they have a set style they like people to adhere to and it can get tricky! At the moment I'm taking a good few minutes on each question which is slowing my money making down, however it's good to know that I've got a little pay-packet building up.

No set shifts, it's anytime you like for as long/short as you wish, so long as you do at least something each month - or tell them that you aren't doing any for a bit. They text you when it gets busy and then people log on to get the queue down to a reasonable level.

Quite a few amusing questions on there! Really gets the brain going! You also have to answer a few questions out of the 'Hard Question' list each month, which aren't always that difficult.

It is quiet on there at the min tho, think everyone is earning as much as possible before the final pre-Christmas pay-day.

Must update my diary instead of hogging yours Dinah...sorry! :D

Lol no feel free to hog away, I like having people to chat to! I'm a real book horder too, but these are all from a library sale and I had to save them from being destroyed but they're not actually my kind of thing!

I might try to sign up to AQA next time they are taking UK people - I put OH onto it last night to try to get him earning a few pennies as they need people in Ireland!

I'm trying hard to stay away from readitswapit. Sounds like I could get addicted! Started the chocolate run yesterday so I think I'll be sorted for a week anyways.

Just gone up to 2 stars on slicethepie (87 tracks rated) My goal is to do 13 tonight but they're so booooring and I've just had some teenagers rapping the n-word down my ears and it's just painful to listen to. Listen to some music from my iTunes to relax my ears.

As for a christmas present for your OH - couldn't you get a box and fill it up with stuff he likes? That's what I've done for Frank but it's kind of over spilled into a bag aswell

Well done with the £100 from amazon! And with putting your 1p books on ReaditSwapit you're actually saving yourself £5 because you don't have to buy new books. Well that's what I've come up with anyways.

I never buy new books unless they're 10 for £10 from the book people! But even then I end up with ones I'm not so interested in so this is cheaper. I've requested 3 swaps, and have confirmed the two I've been invited for.

I hate those rap tracks, it's more like a competition to see who can say the most dirty words in 3 minutes. After a whole night of them I sort of went off on a rant about how it wasn't big or clever! I am about 15 tracks off 250, might try to push for that while I wrap my parcels tonight.

I have one or two ideas for OH, just need to plan them out. Plus I need something romantic as he's not the type to get me a dishcloth (not yet anyway!).

OH will be here this time tomorrow! :j

Have you two got any plans for your four days?

after about 3 rap tracks I've got a girl called Katherine Wells singing at me, and she's bloody good! Finally! I think I gave her too much praise though.. hmm.

In which case, on the book front, you're saving a £1, which is better than nothing. I'm waiting on my grandma finishing I capture the castle, I really want to take it to Cumbria with me in december (Caravan holiday, bound to rain, only so much scrabble I can take)
