Yep, have about £650 left in the bank I think, so realistically I should hopefully still carry £400 of that into my savings account on payday and really smash through the £8000 mark. Still need at least 2 tanks of petrol before then though, so that's about £110 and then have a 18th birthday of a family friend tonight so need to give OH £15 for the pressie he's bringing her, and then we're invited out to the meal tomorrow night. And I might buy a few treats at the living north Christmas fair tomorrow.

Had another swap request today but I turned it down, Catherine Cookson books only on their inventory and thats not my cup of tea! Still felt guilty though.

My dad has swapped one of his bikes for a kiln with someone at work for me (lovely daddy or what?!) which I'm hoping is big enough and hot enough to start doing some glasswork in. Have some ideas I really am dying to try out but I need something hot enough to fuse glass to do it!

  • Ooh, didn't I just mention I like glass things???

I know I would feel guilty rejecting someone as well, but I suppose there's normally loads of people listing the same books so they can try someone else.

Ah nearly home time thank god, just going to plough through a last bit of data entry so it's not still waiting for me on Monday and head off. Have a good one!

You too have a great weekend. 6 mins till I leave to go get OH!

I love glass things too, hence my burning desire to start playing about with it;) Something very pure and elegant about well formed glass

I have to put them up the sides or they'd fall over, my cats use that as their perching ground otherwise i'd stack the books along aswell.

Just thought i'd check in! I've tucked Frank up in bed because he's complaining of stomach ache, and because he's male it's clearly much more painful than anything i've ever felt.

Talking of glassware. I saw a really nice orange glass vasey-jug-y thing in last weeks sunday mail magazine. Only £23 i was very tempted but stayed good. It would just get knocked off by one of the cats

I feel your pain Cinny, I had a lovely blue glass bowl in which I'd left the cat treats on the coffee table. Mavis, being the cunning little creature she is, sniffed them out and moved the bowl all the way off the edge of the table with her little licking tongue  Can't stay mad for long though because she's just so cute :o

Well I've got a free day today as OH has gone home to bed with a hangover , so I was up and dressed and breakfasted by 11 which is very unusual for a Sunday. I've just been on readitswapit listing some books and managed to tear myself away from the free books forum just in time. Now need to tear myself away from MSE so I can do some sorting of junk... Have a good day all!

    Morning all, nice weekend?

I've stayed off the free book forum, I can not have a net increase of books in the house! I can barely justify maintaining the same level!

Sold a few more things on ebay over the weekend, 3 things I think, as well as 7 things in total on amazon, and did 3 new swaps. Have now got 2 reviews so can have more outstanding swaps :T Which is good because my wishlist is already incredably long!

Spent a lot of yesterday wrapping parcels, OH and I trundled down with 4 big reusable bags full! Tried to send some on Friday however the shutters on the post office were jammed shut so we couldn't get in!

Got my Qype ninja kit on Friday (very exciting). Few little goodies, and the ipod, which I have already sold to OH dad for £40! Only wanted £30 for it but OH bargained him up! OH also repaid me the money he owed me from the car insurance and my booking his flights, so going down to the bank at lunchtime to put £400 in.

Got a letter from the Alliance & Leicester forwarded to me from ex's mum. They are putting a default on the account if we do not contact them by the 10th. Well I didn't receive the letter until after that, however I called them to talk about it and the girl said that there was 'no answer from the relevant department'. So I'm going to call again this evening. Ex's mum has agreed to give me £100 to cover all the extra fees incurred while he's dragged his feet, and has assured me I will have a signed form by the end of the week by any means... I'm not going to look too hard at what she means by this! Now to convince them not to default it until it is in my name and I can pay it all off! Still seems mad to me that there is no way of taking one person off the account if the other refuses to sign even if the person wanting off is prepared to pay off all the arrears and bring the account to £0.

Had a lovely time with OH over, managed not to spend anything at the Living North Christmas fair, although I did pay all 4 entrance fees which was £10 in total. Had a lunch out yesterday to cheer me up after the doctors. Also went to a nice 18th birthday (although all vegan, if you are ever offered a gluten free vegan cake politely decline, it's not cake if it has no butter, eggs, flour or milk in!). I understand that the girl who was turning 18 is vegan, but I really wasn't sure how to respond when told I must still be hungry as I hadn't eaten much.... Well no, actually, I don't like seeds wrapped in rice and then a very greasy oily leaf. And the one gluten free pizza was swiped in seconds. I would never say that to them, but surely it can't be bad manners to politely decline and pretend you had a big lunch rather than try to choke down a second leaf?! Sorry, rant over!

    How is everyone else?

He goes at 3 today, so gone before I get home.

Interesting is one word, luckily the people are nice and there was a lot of champagne!

    Hi Dinah,

Your still going well, and seem to be really coping well with your OH going again today, are you seeing him soon?

My OH came home on Sunday after two months away with the army, he's off again wednesday/thursday and not back till xmas eve then he goes again before new years and isnt back til february :(

You did very well at the fair I went shopping with OH for his new trip and felt really down not being able to 'treat' myself, just kept telling myself you don't really need it - damn thats getting boring! :)

Keep Going Dinah Im really enjoying reading your diary every day

That sounds really rough with your OH away so much Dex. I'm lucky, mine is coming back again a week on Friday, so only 10 days really. Just wish he could get a job and stop leaving!

I'm getting treats from the readitswapit books (another 1 this morning, yey!).

Have started the dooyoo reviews this morning, I got an email from another member saying you can copy and paste them into ciao, surely this isn't true? I'm going to try to do 5 or so per day, then this isn't flooding and I should be able to keep up the quality, but I really don't have much else to do!
