Luckily my OH is clean and tidy (he already lives in a rented 'lad pad' with his dirty brother) so I hope he stays that way!

I'm a bit worried about the coming months though as he's going to be off work for a good 3-4 months with his knee. He works 2-10 so I was looking forward to being on my own and spreading all of my scrapbooking/card making stuff all over the dining room table and watching girly films and now he's going to be there all the time telling me off for making a mess and making me watch boy TV! I'll have to make our spare room my girly crafty sanctuary!

Oh God, I've just thought; I've got an evening to repack everything I've had to unpack! And I'm going belly dancing tonight! And I promised my Mum I'd put chocolate tops on the rice crispy cakes I made yesterday for her to take to work tomorrow! What kind of mother relies on her child to make Mars Bar crispy cakes? It's hardly rocket science! My Mum will miss me when I'm gone!

She's just called to say that her shift has been swapped so she's off tomorrow to help me move. I know she won't leave or she'll want to bring me back home with her! We can't get a van till Thursday though as my Dad isn't around to help and my Brother can't get the day off, so Thursday is big stuff moving day!

I'm at work tomorrow morning then the moving will begin in the afternoon, I've booked Thursday and Friday off so I'll be quiet but I'll try to update somehow!

    ETA: Whoop! My 500th post!

Good luck Birdie, so glad it's all happening for you, that's wonderful.

Tell me about it!! This is the main reason OH and i arent staying down south once i have finished uni - we stand absolutly no chance of being able to afford somewhere down here!

  • Yeah, I can understand why you are heading back up North for the cheaper houses! I came the other way, from Scotland to England and from Ireland to Scotland before that! I like it down here though and have a property in Scotland. My real dream is to buy something here towards the end of next year and then in 5 years sell both properties and buy something in Northern Spain. It seems such a distant dream though!

That's actually a really nice village too, big enough to have a couple of shops and a lovely pub, very pretty place, but small enough that you say hello to people in the street.

Didn't make it to pilates, couldn't breathe enough, nose is totally blocked up. Did go do my MS shop though with NIM, and he bought me a 'Happy Pancake Day' shirt from Topshop for our Egypt holiday, it's very nice, reds and blue-y purple check, quite long with tailored body, thin belt and rolled up sleeves, will cover enough of me to be acceptable in Egypt without being too hot!
