My problem is that my birthday always falls in Lent, so whatever I give up is also forbidden on my birthday. Really need to shift a couple (of dozen) lbs at the moment though so this will help.
Birdie- sorry to hear that you're having a pants time. I'm sure once you get your stuff in too you'll feel much better and can relax and potter about your new home.

In Ireland you can break Lent on St Patrick's Day and also if you have a birthday so that should cover you!
Birdie, have a look at this website. A lot of Irish girls are going mad for this designer at the moment. Some of the dresses are OTT but some are perfect for a wedding abroad. A couple of my friends have worn the them and they are lovely.

Birdie - that sounds very stressful, i am not surprised you were annoyed with OH, i would have been too! Hope everything goes a bit more smoothly for you now!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

 WHAT?! It's a Holy Catholic Country too!
I love payday too Dinahtomorrow for me :j
Your total's coming down slowly but suely and the house fund has improved somewhat since yesterday! You've done well on the CC charge reclaiming! As much as I struggled with my debts, I never actually defaulted on my card or went over my OD, so the only charges were the interest, so I couldn't join in with the reclaiming.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
My god, I can't catch up! Its odd how I've got less time to browse online at home than I do at work, that has to be telling me something!
Birdie - Bless your OH! Although if my OH did that I'd be so peed off. I bet he was just excited about finally moving out - but he should of waited for you! Hope it hasn't ruined it too much.
Dinah - Glad to see your debt down by another £200! You'll be there in no time :j
I've given up junk food for lent, like I said yesterday, just my meals and fruit for snacks. Not doing well, nearly broke it by almost eating a chocolate finger - but I stopped myself!
Off for my super early wednesday dinner before work!0 -
Hi girls, lots of exciting news this week!
Birdie - YAY for completing, that's so exciting! I hope OH gets forgiven soon. Boys just aren't like us! They don't always realise that certain things are important to us, like moving into your first place 'together' and not just being all practical about it. Hope you'll be living in domestic bliss by this time next week
Well done on your totals Dinah! It's not just your debt going down now, it's those others going UP! Are you giving up anything for lent or have you got enough on your plate at the mo?!
Lots of admirable intentions here... I'm going to have a crack at giving up wine and chocolate, so I too had a farewell Wispa last night. Sigh. xLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -

Don't think I would be able to give up wine and wispa all in one go! Fair play to you for doing it. Your sig is coming down quite a bit, you have done really well since your LBM!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thanks girlies! Is it bad that OH has just text me to say 'Just been mouth raped by the dentist- 4 fillings, ow!' and I feel happy?! I believe in karma and I think he had that coming to him after annoying me so much, especially after all the stress I've had getting the flat in the first place since he didn't do anything to help!
Thanks for the link CMD, the dresses are lovely but as it's a fancy flash site I can't post my DOTD from there! I'll definitely be keeping them in mind though!
Found this DOTD on another site!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Ooh, I couldn't do wine AND chocolate! In fact I'm not doing wine OR chocolate!! I was thinking about alcohol but I've got the girlies coming up for a belated birthday night out on Saturday (false eyelashes a-go-go!) ... I might have that night instead of Paddy's and give up alcohol the rest of the time... Ooh, giving up bread and wine for lent, how very symbolic!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

And good luck on giving up the chocolate for lent! I'm giving up nothing, I need my chocolate at the moment!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
