Well just about recovered from my weekend away in Glasgow. I did a bit of spending but no where near as much as I would usually spend on a weekend away. I have been know to buy new shoes just so I could carry on shopping without my feet hurting.
Lara - Lancaster is very nice, it as good motorway link (close to the M6) and good rail links. The university has a good campus just outside the main town.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳

Good luck Birdie, so glad it's all happening for you, that's wonderful.
Do you parents know about the engagement yet?
Thanks! Parents don't know yet and I'm so fed up this morning I don't want to think about it!
We got the keys at about 5.30 last night. I didn't see the point of moving last night but brought a car load of boxes over from OH's to placate him as he was keen to bring some stuff over. I had heard him on the phone to his Mum when we were at the flat saying something about wanting her to come round to see it... we went back to OH's and his Dad's car was outside already half-full of boxes! I was really didn't want to do anything house movey last night as I had my Belly Dancing class to go to and I didn't want to miss any more classes, I have paid for them already! I left to go to my class and went back to my house...errr, my parents'... after.
OH called me at 10pm to say he was still at the flat assembling the TV stand and that he'd moved all of his stuff over. In one evening! I've got the rest of the week off from 11.45 this morning for moving, why did he have to fill the place up last night? Apparently it is now so full there's no room for my stuff, that's handy! He also told me to bring furniture over before boxes... I told him yesterday we can't organise a van until tomorrow so my bed and the sofas are stuck at mine until then, what does he think I'm going to fit in a little Punto???
Grrrr, I'm so cross with him! Why does he have to ruin this for me? I'm just going to chuck his stuff out and start again! :mad:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Poor you Birdie, I can see why you are frustrated but is sounds like your OH is so excited he couldn't help himeself. You sound more methodical, like my OH. I am like your OH, inpulsive and do daft things from time to time!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Oh no Birdie!! I agree, chuck his stuff out on the lawn! Aw bless you, they say moving is about the most stressful thing you can do. Just think once you get through the next couple of days you'll be all unpacked and settled into your lovely flat!
Love the idea of a pancake day T-shirt Dinah! Not long now til you go, I'm jealous! Though I think we're supposed to be looking at booking Paris this month!
Haha ROTE - I've done that before but only with a pair of £6 flip-flops I have to say!
I'm stiff as a board this morning, not sure if it's from the swimming or pilates yesterday. Could only manage 20 lengths disappointingly, was really breathless due to lack of blood! My GHDs must have arrived while I was in the shower this morning as when I came downstairs they were on the table (poor Dad's had to get up for the postman on his day off)At last, should've been here Saturday! So I'll be experimenting with them before my date later

Have decided, I am giving up chocolate for lent! Had a big bar of wispa last night. I like to have 1/2 a bar a night so it will be a big challenge and hopefully I will lose a few lbs as well!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I was thinking that CMD, if we ever move in together I know for a fact it'll be him nagging me to tidy up, not the other way around! He goes mad when I stay at his for the night and don't store my bag and stuff neatly enough  - It's all gone the next day I don't know what his problem is!

I'm going to give up bread definitely. It'll be a challenge, especially thinking what to bring for packed lunches, but I'm liking my challenges at the min!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

I find mess really stressfull, NIM says he does too, but he appears to have a different concept of 'mess' to me, he doesn't mind clothes on the floor etc!
NIM has requested a to do list today so:- Do surveys
- Do onepoll
- Call Lloyds
- Call recruitment companies
- Tidy Room
- Open M & S Isa
- Post Sims game BEFORE 12!
Payday today, I love payday, lots of big changes to my totals. NIMs money came through too, so CC1 is empty again. Todays changes include- £12 from one MS and £21.00 from another MS came in, both have gone into the house fund ISA
- £200 to grandad for the masters loan
- £93 from the £170 charges refunded into ISA, spent rest on petrol
- £137 which was what was left at the end of Feb's wages into ISA
- £140 as my standard 'old min repayments' ammount went into ISA as usual
- £48 extra went into ISA to make up a bit for the missing bit of the £170, but mostly because it meant that ISA 1 is full!
Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I'm giving up chocolate too! Done it twice before and after the first few days it's not that hard. My problem is that my birthday always falls in Lent, so whatever I give up is also forbidden on my birthday. Really need to shift a couple (of dozen) lbs at the moment though so this will help.
Birdie- sorry to hear that you're having a pants time. I'm sure once you get your stuff in too you'll feel much better and can relax and potter about your new home.
