Christ, your houses make my perfect moving out house look rubbish!

I actually like the blue and yellow wallpaper in one of the bedrooms! I'm the kind of person who watches homes under the hammer and gets amazingly excited over 1930s wallpaper though so don't mind me!
Dinah - as for kids, they will come! Even if they aren't your own, there's always fostering and adoption, I know it isn't really the same, and I know you want kids but you have something really good with NIM. Hopefully he'll read this and come around?0 -
Lovely houses! I don't want to start looking at dream houses as it'll make my little flat seem a little disappointing! LOL!
If we complete today/tomorrow we'll be moving tomorrow. I'm going to get a couple of days off work as we can't wait till the weekend, it'll kill us!
I've been looking for a DOTD but can't find anything I like so unless I get a hit of inspiration this afternoon it may not appear!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Nah I don't want him to come round. If it isn't natural, convincing someone is only ever going to give half of what you wanted. I just wish he hadn't started up again and got me to the point where I was actually optemistic about the future.
That's a cute house Cinny! I like the big garden, often you get teeny yards with houses of that type. Kitchen looks nice too, and the big wood doors are there too inside.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Lol that's not my dream house, my dream house would be a lot posher! That's a 'my next house' contender!

Do you not have to book removal people or anything Birdie?
We're going to rent a van and do it ourselves, which is fairly optimistic considering OH is still hobbling about on crutches! My Dad and brother (if he can take the time off work!) will help as will OH's family. I'd say my Mum will help but she'll be useless bless her so it's lucky she's working tomorrow!
Hmmm, I hope the van rental place will have one available! It may have to be later in the week depending on them, but I hope to be in before the weekend, even if we have to wait till the weekend to move the really big things. Gosh, this is difficult trying to figure it all out!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I'm only looking at fantasy houses really, not going to be buying one for years yet. OH and I had a long talk over the weekend and we've decided that we find houses too tying (to England, not each other!) and if we want to live abroad for a bit we don't want to buy beforehand.
I like the kitchen there too Cinny. Did anyone see Paul Ross's house on Celeb Come Dine With Me last week? OMG it was absolutely my perfect dream fantasy house, I got really annoyed that he has it as he's so obnoxious!
Hopefully you'll be in before the weekend Birdie, then you can have the weekend to recover!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Don't even know who that is.
I've never fancied living abroad, it's kind of one of those 'nice to visit, but wouldn't want to live there' things. Plus I get very, very homesick. Have struggled both times I was in Ireland for a week, had to call mum every day as otherwise I kept breaking down in tears! Not looking to buy for a few years, want a very substantial deposit behind me before I do.

I think I did see that one, his house was lovely!
I'd love to live in Winston Churchill's house in Kent, it's an amazing mix of Victorian feel and 1940s. Not to mention the garden.
I agree with Tete, be great if you can get in this week then spend the weekend relaxing and playing happy families! Did you say it was a new build flat? I'm loving all the flats that have been built recently, they look so neat!0 -
He's Jonathan Ross's fat brother, apparently a TV critic, can mostly be found as a pundit on those "50 biggest cringeworthy moments on reality TV" type programmes. I can't find any pics, but you can watch again online; http://www.channel4.com/video/come-dine-with-me/catchup.html ... I think I might as I loved it so much!
Ooh I don't get homesick at all! I was in France four months solid and the worst thing was the Fish & Chip cravings I was getting! Every time I opened a newspaper, the smell of the newsprint reminded me of them!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Ooh, just googled Churchill's house Cinny, it's lovely - I especially like the stepping stones and the arched windows in the dining/tea room
I see it's National Trust though so I doubt they'd sell it to you! You could get married there though!
