  • It will wake you up Dinah, you'll have loads of energy for moneymaking in the evening after you've been! In the hairdressers on Saturday they were talking about the Race for Life - 3 miles - and I was thinking about training and trying to run it... After all, once I've done my Channel Challenge, the leisure centre is closing for refurb and swimming won't be as convenient as it is now. Running is free once you've got the shoes... and the light nights are coming (they are! I can smell them!) ... Does anyone on here run?

Does to the biscuit tin count? I can run half a mile on the treadmill but then I need a walking rest.

Tight does mean drunk, well I hope it does! I think it's a 1940s saying.

I know you were most likely being sarcastic, but I hope I'm not the only one who can smell a change in the nights, it's weird but they just smell different (so do the mornings!)

I've certainly never heard NIM use those words Tete! Maybe it's a Dublin thing?

I don't run, can't handle the pressure on my bad knee, need to do low pressure things like the cross trainer and swimming instead.

I wasn't, I mean it, I just fear we're in for a bit more snow before the spring sets in!

Right I'm off to donate a pint of blood, wish me luck!

Good luck Tete, great thing you're doing, that blood will likely save someone's life.

Wish I could donate blood, but my bp pills mean it doesn't clot right.

Thanks for the link Lara! I'm having a read of it now. I think I've talked myself into getting one. Pass me that clingfilm!

Flower - We do chin wag a bit too much. You're a braver lady than me to read back on it all.

OH has voiced that he 'doesn't want clothes' for his birthday. So my new plan is in tatters! I mean, I could afford a laptop for him.. Just be less to pot as savings really. :D
  • Lara - I live about an hour away from Lancaster and I did my teacher training there.

Dinah - Well done on your new total.

Morning everyone! Happy Pancake day! (is that a saying?)

Tete - hope you're feeling less faint and basking in the rays of being a unknown hero after giving blood!
