Haha! I'd go for it then. As long as you can pay it back I don't see the problem myself, like when Dinah bought her laptop on credit but paid it all off in one swoop the following payday.

Penelope Pitstop did have a helmet! bright pink with white goggles? I have a momo faceless helmet that I could really use in the summer, it's alittle bit tight on the noggin though. I'll have to try it out tonight. Would save me £150.. but it isn't as purdy..

I hope that OH gets some 3-pint courage! Gosh, I've got you crossing lots of fingers for me at the moment! It's all or nothing with me!

I love the first helmet Cinny! Is there any way of getting it cheaper? If the 2nd one's cheaper get that one because it is still cool!

Tete, I think you can pay a deposit for your specs and pay the rest when you get them, think that's what I usually do! Generally because I buy a new pair on a whim and need the following few days to figure out where to get the money from! I really need some new glasses but I can't really afford it... but my Mum works for Boots opticians so I get her staff discount, but only whilst I live with her (and they're apparently very strict about this!) so I'm on a tight schedule if I do want some 'cheap' glasses. Ooooh, decisions decisions!

No harm in asking about the glasses, maybe you could skip the hair app? unless there's a cancelling fee or something silly like that.

This is the best chuppa chups one:

But it's £155! There's this one though which is pretty mod-ish:

I don't need a new one until the start of April so I'll be able to dip into my savings if I really want the first one.

    *crosses fingers too*

They are both so cool Cinny. I love them!!!

Thanks CMD. My Dad says I should be going to quality not the pattern. Pish Posh.

The other one is £75 I think! Postage is free and it's from the same place I got my Vespa from last year so I know they wouldn't be selling any bad goods.

Is it specsavers you're going too Tete? They've got the 2 for 1 on frames over £75 if you need new ones. Eyetests were £18 when I went last week. So you might be scratching the OD!

Dad's can be such spoilsports! Always going on about safety and quality blah blah boring blah! They just don't understand how important looking pretty is!

I actually like them both and can't choose which one I prefer. I think you should let your heart rule on this one Cinny. You are very dedicated to your saving and this helmet is going to last for a long time! I suppose another factor is how well they are made too. Don't compromise on your safety to save a few bob!

  • Ah thanks Birdie, hopefully I'll be able to do that then. It's D&A Cinny, according to the website they have the same offer for frames over £69, and I get a half price eye test becasue I'm a contact lens customer. Been looking at frames on the website though and the only ones I really like are the ones I have at the minute! I definitely need a new prescription but I wonder if I could just get my frames fitted with the new lenses....They are a bit knackered though so if it's not LOADS cheaper I might just get a new pair of the same frame... Hmm...

I thought it was just me who did things like that! The glasses I have at the moment are quite striking and I can't really better them! It's a real problem for me as I want new specs but can't find any that I really like! My Mum wants me to get some hot pink plastic ones but I think they're a little too OTT!

Maybe when you're there you'll see a pair you like. The two frames I got are lovely, but I'd never of picked them from the online pictures.

No work to do today, changed all the files around, cleaned all the machines so they're sparkling, so I've been screen shopping.

Feels really summery today, it's making me want to make plans, which is odd. I went to the festival of history last yeah with OH, dragged him to go see undressing Mr Darcy, which I think scarred him for life, think I could convince him to go again?!
