  • Ha, so I do! Must be after 750! I probably look a bit dim now! I blame the head cold and shock of spending £85 all at once! Goodnight and sleep tight all xx

No your not dim, it probably just arrived after you sent the post! Well done!

Absolute disaster of a well laid plan this evening! Got to the gym at 6.30, only to realise I had no trainers with me! So decided to go get some from the sports shop across the way that's got a great sale on, as I've wanted a new pair for a while, mine are 8 years old and not very supportive. So I got those, and 2 sports bras as I only own one which is no good when you go to the gym every day. Got back in the car, checked my gym bag, and realised I had no socks anymore! So parked up again, and went to get some socks in M & S. While I was in there got a call off mum, asking me to get 8 pints of milk, so back into M and S I went. By the time I eventually got to the gym I only had 50 minuites, so was a very quick and unforfilling workout! To top it off the restaurant was full, and we didn't get fed until after the cut off time for the shop, so I might not be paid anyway!

On a course all day tomorrow, won't be able to natter, be good in my absence!

Couldn't all the running in and out of shops be classed as exercise?
Shame about the meal! Hopefully you might be able to still get paid for it, if you put down how busy they were?
Have fun on your course today too! I will try not to go completely off topic :D

My board has gone up today, but weirdly at the start of this year my weekly wages went up by the same amount so thankfully my savings are still on target! Hoping to crack past £600 today. No plans for tomorrow so I'm going to try and find myself a free sock pattern to do while watching Pride and Prejudice (yay to Colin Firth!) to keep me busy. Hope everyone has a much more interesting weekend than me!

    *edit* Yaaay, £600!!
  • I agree with Cinny, running about and stress counts as exercise especially if you were lugging 8 pints of milk! How will the MS people know what time you were served? Can't you tell a white lie? I don't know how they work...

Well done on the £600 Cinny!! :) Once you're past the halfway point it's all downhill from there! Eek, just looked at my internet banking and the straighteners have come straight (ho ho) out, leaving me with £15! Must get to the bank and put my birthday money in!! I was hoping to have a couple of hundred left over this month to go into my savings but doesn't look like that's gonna happen. I don't know where it all goes!

I've got an eye test at 11 but I'm a big sneezy, dozy mess today, my eyes are watering that much I can't see anything anyway! May also be leaving work early as off out for a friend's birthday. We're going to a comedy night which starts at 7, so will prob have to leave work earlier if we're gonna make it for happy hour pasta beforehand! Best crack on with some work eh!

    (Coffee exercises first! ;))

    Well done! :j :money:

I think your Pride and Prejudice day sounds lovely! I have had many of those myself... actually think I'm due one!

Sorry last night went pear shaped Dinah. Hope today is a good one!

I may be moving this weekend if everything gets sorted! But I mustn't get my hopes up as I've been let down too many times before. We're also going out for my Mum's birthday and I hope that OH will get the courage to pull my Dad to one side and ask for his blessing/consent so when I get my ring back next week I can wear it straight away! I reckon he'll wimp out though!

    As always :D

My new plan for savings was to put whatever money I can afford to in on a Thursday before payday but I got all giddy and excited at the thought of putting it up to the next 100 I couldn't help myself (that sounds so sad written down..) Need to go to the garage on the way home to get some two stroke oil, think I'll start using Oats next week!

Not so good about the £15 but just think how lovely your hair will be! Just make sure you dont sneeze when the eye test person is dancing around infront of you blinding you with the mini light, might end up a bit painful and/or messy.

*edit* when I say Oats I don't mean a pony I mean my vespa! Oh dear.

Birdie - Fingers crossed for moving in this weekend! If you do you'll have to treat yourself to a Pride and Prejudice day as a pat on the back, with lots of coffee workouts of course.

I was confused for a minute there! Have you got a new helmet yet? Please say you went for the Chupa Chupps one!

  • Oh yeah - please say you got it!

Fingers crossed for you Birdie! And about OH and your Dad - if they both get a bit tiddly at the meal it might help the situation?

At the mention of hair I've remembered I've actually got a hair appt in the morning too. Oh no! So I've got about £170 left til next Thursday... meal and tonight... about £40 inc ticket food and drinks... Hair will be about £40... New glasses will be god knows how much... Oh dear! I wonder if I can pay for the glasses when they actually come in rather than today?!

No harm in asking about the glasses, maybe you could skip the hair app? unless there's a cancelling fee or something silly like that.

This is the best chuppa chups one:

But it's £155! There's this one though which is pretty mod-ish:

I don't need a new one until the start of April so I'll be able to dip into my savings if I really want the first one.
Fingers crossed for you Birdie! And about OH and your Dad - if they both get a bit tiddly at the meal it might help the situation?

    *crosses fingers too*
  • Ooh I love the first one! Very Penelope Pitstop... somehow... did she even wear a helmet??

Hmm, I don't want to miss the hair appt as it really needs doing and as I have it highlighted it takes up half the day, I don't like getting it done normally on a weekend as it eats into my time with OH, but he's away at uni this weekend so seemed like the perfect time.. I've got my old Barclays OD to fall back on I suppose. I know it's a slippery slope but it's only for a few days if I really need to... Oh god, I'm like an alcoholic wanting 'just the one'!!
