Great news on your OH's interview. Fingers crossed for him.
On the dress front I would say something like-
'As stated in the auction the dress is clearly labelled a size 10. I appreciate that sizes vary from store to store, but as the dress is definitely the size I stated I'm not able to offer a refund. Perhaps you could re-sell the item on eBay to recoup the cost.'
Cinny that's a great haul- I went into town for my mystery shop but just bought some fabric for my bathroom which we are currently over-hauling. No clothes spends for me!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Very diplomatic from GiSi there!! :TWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Plus I decided I'd do 1 minute on the treadmill for every £1 spent. So 32 minutes later on 4 miles an hour I'm knackered!
LOL Cinny - that's a great idea!
No news on the p/t job front, I hope I'll hear in the next few days.
Also a bit of a question - one of the companies I asked for work experience (before Christmas) has just got back saying 'no' they already have a work experience person, but I can come in over lunch to 'discuss the kind of work they do and how that would fit my profile'? Kind of not sure what this means! Do you think it would be a bit of careers advice on how to get into the research field? As have kind of canned that idea with the uni plan. Should I go or not?
Also need to start making enough money for March and half of April - have got £300 for March so far, and then if the p/t job comes through all will be good. Otherwise I need to find something else.
So glad you had nice hols, and that your OH got an interview, Dinah. Big fingers crossed! Have a nice evening everyone x:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Lara I'd say if you're not interested anymore then don't bother, but if you're still undecided then it can't hurt to go along... and if they need someone in the future they might think of you.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Hi Dinah - glad to hear that you had a good weekend with your OH, and great news on the job interview. I have my fingers crossed for you both!
With regards to the dress, i definatly wouldnt give a refund if it clearly states that it is a size 10 then they cant really argue with you on that one. I think GiSi reply was a very diplomatic one that could be used

Tete- how did the brownies go? I made my using a Jamie Oliver recipe and they are amazing (even if I do say so myself). Wish I had some ice cream to go with though.....
Just listed 8 items in eBay and have done all my onepoll surveys tonight so quite pleased about that too!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Really well actually, I even impressed myself!! I did them in bun cases so they look a bit like crap flat cakes but they taste lovely. Cinny's recipe made about 30 of the blighters though so taking some into work to clog up everyones' arteries

Glad to hear you had a great time and that hopefully you feel all de-stressed. As for "Grey's " I love it and new series is starting, the trailers look rather juicey. I usually go up to bed early to watch it while OH plays on his PS3 (well each to their own).Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳

I have to do them like that for portion sizes, I can easily much down 2 if they're cut up but feel guilty going back for seconds if they're in cases. no idea why, glad the recipe went well though!
Did anyone watch that boys and girls alone last night? The boys were so much nicer than the girls, even if they were beating the hell out of each other.
CMD - I have to rate mine pretty highly! We've had this one for about 6 - 7 years and it's only just starting to show some wear. It's great to use when I'm listening to an audio book.0
