Weeee! We've had loads of snow today, which is mad as we never get snow down south! Hope everyone's stayed safe and maybe managed to get a sneaky day off work :)

Morning all. Snow closed the A66 over the pennines last night, so had to go a very long way home, took the best part of 4 hours rather than 1hour 20mins as going over!

Had a fantastic weekend, very relaxed, romantic, good times with family, etc. Did lots of the sporty things, although didn't do some of the bigger things like archery and horse riding as it was too much money. OH treated me to a couples massage thingy in the spa yesterday, with champagne and chocolate. Mmmmm. He also got me some earrings, and told me everything I spent over the weekend, he would be paying me back for, all the meals, the activities, petrol etc. He basically was on his romantic A-game, and I had a fantastic time.

Mum and dad also got me a spa day for my birthday pressie - clearly I come across as in need of relaxation!

OH has gone over for an interview with another recruitment company today. Think he's going to try to go see the teachers one tomorrow. Trying to get him some interviews lined up at least before he has to go back.

Came back to find another disputed item case on paypal, they say I ignored their email (sent on Saturday, which my gmail 'vacation responder' thingy told them I was away till today) and that I haven't sent the item. I have, and I have proof of postage for it too. Just irritates me that both paypal and ebay automatically take the side of the buyer, when there are some pains out there out to beg borrow or steal or they can, who have an ebay account with 1 feedback, and I have been registered 8 years and have over 900 individual users, 100% positive feedback.

Bank account shows as having about £450 left to last me until the 25th. However, OH is giving me £100 for the cash spends at Center Parcs (took £100 with me, have pennies left), and he's filled up the car which will last till next Monday maybe Tuesday, so only need another £100 or so for petrol this month, and I have £70 to go into the account, so should actually be fine. Brother still owes me £167, no idea when I'll be seeing that again!

Only movement in my bank account while I was away was my £25 dd to CC2, which has been amended on my sig. Hoping my paypal balance will arrive today so I can whack a huge chunck off!

Oh and I discovered OH has a MSE account, so he's lurking somewhere, possibly amongst us. Sneaky ninja.

Bless your OH! That was sweet of him to pay for everything, glad you had a lovely, relaxing weekend. You really did deserve it! Back at work today?

Shame about the paypal dispuite, with the proof of postage you should be covered though, right?

Tete - all the snow has melted in my town too! But at work it's just turned to ice, but still looks like snow.

Yep I'm back at work. Forgot to bring in my cup so no tea for me. Very chilly without it!

Should be covered, but I don't trust paypal to be fair to sellers now they are owned by ebay.

It's really unfair how they do all the ratings on ebay ect now, even more so if you end up with a bad mark next to your name because of something you didn't do.

You have to take your own mugs in to work? Hopefully you wont forget it tomorrow!

Don't forget the sprinkles! There are some really pretty 50p mugs in supermarkets ect, have to stop myself buying them because they're 'just 50p' I don't even use mugs!

Going shopping this afternoon, need some new tops to wear with my jeans now I'm starting to wear them out more. Weird how a top that go perfectly with my skirts make me look completely out of proportion with jeans. Will stick to my newly formed budget.
  • Hello, glad you enjoyed the weekend Dinah and lucky you having ANOTHER spa day to look forward to! Hmm, reminds me, they do massages at the wellbeing centre at work, and I promised myself one on my birthday... must look into that!

I'm making Cinny's brownies tonight :) Was given a slow cooker at the weekend so there's some soup going in that which should be ready when I get home and I can spend the evening baking yummy chocolate!!
