Can't think of how to help you with the dress problem! Maybe she's one of those people who kid themselves into thinking they're a size smaller than they are?

Well done to your OH for the interview!! Even made me smile through my mountain of paperwork. Fingers crossed for him.
  • I didn't even know there were any call centres in Billingham! It's definitely better than nothing though so good luck to him.

Didn't use mi-info, don't know what it is, but would be so annoyed if that happened to me!! I'm getting quite into dooyoo at the minute again so hope that doesn't go bust!

And the ebay woman... I'm always buying stuff that doesn't fit, you just put it down to experience and try not to buy stuff on there any more! Did you put the measurements on the description? Or a disclaimer saying that you're not responsible for sizes and won't accept refunds? I don't know how the feedback works now, can you still respond to feedback like you used to be able to? This is exactly the kind of thing that stopped me selling on there tp be honest!

  • Hi,

Glad you had a lovely weekend. Re: the dress. I think if it is clearly marked a size 10 then she shouldn't be complaining really. I agree with Cinny, maybe she has kidded herself that she is a 10 when she is really a 12.

Best of luck to your OH with his interview. Really hope he gets it. Has he been looking around for accommodation as well?

Lol no anyone is welcome to post here, nice to see you!

OH is hoping to move into my parents, so hasn't looked for accomodation. If he does have to move in elsewhere he just wants one room so would be a lodger rather than rent a flat.

I don't know how to politely tell the woman that its just a bit tough and to resell it herself if she doesn't want it.

Couldn't you say something like, the item was listed as and is labelled as a size 10, you're sorry if she isn't 100% pleased with the item but there isn't anything wrong with the sizes of it. Might work?

Went shopping, ended up getting 2 tops, some jeans and a new pair of weekend flats. Jeans went through at £10 instead of £14 and the shoes went through at £2 instead of £8. Very pleased! Plus I decided I'd do 1 minute on the treadmill for every £1 spent. So 32 minutes later on 4 miles an hour I'm knackered!
  • Lucky that they did go through at those reduced prices then!!

I agree with Cinny Dinah if you stated in the listing and it's labelled as a 10... what more can you say? It's like some shops you might be an 8 and others a 10, sometime what you think is your size just doesn't fit. It's a risk you take buying clothes without being able to try on first.

Yeah, it's definitely a risk. She needs to re-sell it if it doesn't fit!

That's great that your OH will be able to stay at your house Dinah until he gets something. I am sure you are really excited about him moving over if he gets the job.

How do you find the treadmill Cinny? I have ordered one and it is meant to be in stock this week so I am excited. I need to lose about 8lbs so I can fit into my size 10 clothes again!

I don't dare get excited, must stay calm and only get excited when I have good reason to be!
