He's set the bar too high for himself, that's the problem! He can only have so many ideas before he runs out, and he's been madly romantic until now, but I think he's had too many balls in the air lately. It's not exactly an important birthday, except for being the first one with him, it doesnt really need to be marked.

Tete, you're so right. The other day I went to Pizza Express with some friends and we had a spare voucher so I offered it to an older couple on the next table - they were so chuffed and I felt all warm inside! I really hope pizza express doesn't go bust, but who goes out without vouchers anymore?!

That's so lovely!!! I'm going to take spares in future!!

Plus he'll have spent more than £5 on them, so I won't dare wear them outside

LOL Dinah - hope you're having a fab time with OH now. Have a lovely weekend.

Poddle - that's so nice of you with the spares - I love it!

CMD - Wow your wedding sounds super nice. It's Barcelona that we both love, it's so cool there. We wouldn't have had half as nice a time without Le Cool - I hope it's as good when we go back again. OH is an animator so there's loads of design companies for him perhaps to get work with. But we are still years away from being able to live there. We've only been learning Spanish since last Jan. Our teacher seems to stuff us with grammar and then we have no time to practice or learn vocab. What about you guys?

Also had another job interview today for a part time position. The interview didn't seem to go too well, but fingers crossed. This one is to supplement the income with my other p/t job until October skool starts.

I want to be married, I think it's an important step, I just don't like the idea of a wedding. Does that make sense? God I'm too backward to be a girl! quote]

I know exactly where you are coing from, i desperatly wanted to marry my now hubby (4 years) but didnt want the big day. Shiver at the thought of being centre of attention and all that money to invite all those peeps you really dont want to be there, but if you are invited great aunty maud you must invite 2nd cousin ttwice removed Moreen!!

At the end of the day we had a very small wedding on Christmas Eve, had lunch but couldn't have an evening do as nowhere was open;)

Evening all, very quick post for me tonight. OH is here, being all lovely and wrapping parcels. Got some money through from paypal, £154 which has gone straight in the ISA for paying off the CC, and been deducted from my total. Have £240 to go into the bank tomorrow, although have another 22 parcels to send so will pay those in cash first.

Went to the Boots in town today, they not only don't have an advantage card machine, they also don't sell either No7 or Ruby & Millie, so going to have to stop at Teesside Park on the way home tomorrow so I can use the voucher before the weekend as it expires on Sunday.

Had a nice meal out tonight, think we might possibly go out tomorrow, we'll see, going to be out all weekend at Center Parks as don't ever do cooking when on holiday!

Looks like it'll be a breeze for you to get under £3,000 by the end of Febuary. Dinah!

Shame about not being able to get the blusher, I figure it's always best to go to a bigger boots store anyways - you normally have more shades to choose from - weird them not having No7 though.

Went to Grandad's last night, was just about to tell him of the magazine subscription and he gave me £20 to put in my savings account! I tried giving it back and explaining but he wouldn't have any of it. Stupid Grandad, I feel dead awful now!

You need to LIVE there and be immersed in it to learn a language properly ;)

Morning all! That is indeed strange that a Boots wouldn't stock No7!? I'm fancying a Barry M nail varnish after reading Cinny's Dooyoo review of it, might pop out later and have a look :o

Cinny I think even if you'd managed to explain to your grandad he would have made you keep the money anyway, that's what they're like!

Just been checking my savings account - I have money gone out of my current account that hasn't appeared there yet, and money from Quidco that's apparently been 'received' and not shown up yet. I'm itching to update my sig! Looks like being a more expensive month than I planned though with OH having no money - this Canadian apparently had him in his OD, and he's only just been paid, so really cleaned him out. Really must do a couple of reviews today!!...
