  • Haha, wish I could do that but under the bed is full of storage boxes full of old stuff I've forgotten I have but can't live without!

Congrats on the crown!! I want one too now! Haven't written a review for weeks though. Yes it is etiquette to return rates as far as I can tell - that's what gets the dosh (pennies) rolling in. I got a load of extra points this afternoon just by picking people at random and rating a couple of their reviews, so they'd rate me back. I got very annoyed when I noticed I had all Very Useful rates apart from three Usefuls and when I looked at those two were from one person, and when I looked this person up to see how wonderful his/her reviews were in comparison... quelle surprise! This user has not submitted any reviews - grrr!!! Think I'm getting a bit too into it!

That reminds me about France Cinny - I've lived there too, for a year, and would recommend Spain over France every time, the French are horrible! And NSLs are No Spend Lunches - ie, bringing in a packed lunch. Have lapsed a bit with this one lately too...

Oooh CMD I think Barcelona is so cool. It must have been lovely to get married there. When we went there I had a great guide book called 'Le Cool' (which I would heartily recommend). The food was so amazing. Would love to live there for a year - the way it's going with our Spanish classes we'll be comprehensible in time for retirement!!! Where did you have the service and reception?

Tete - Olive oil yum, you must have loved working there for staff discount and freebies! I went to Granada last year and really loved it. We hired a small flat which was really reasonable on price and took some great bus trips to the mountains. We were supposed to hire a car and go to Seville and Cordoba but there was a big fuel strike, so we were stranded.

BTW what's a 'return rate' on Dooyoo? Is it etiquette to rate people back that have rated you? If so I am in troooouble . . . *runs off to Dooyoo*

Also I had such a cool time in Stoke On Trent today. I got the full tour of the south of the city and got to see our bone china products getting made.

    Hi Lara,

We also have the 'le cool' book! It is great for quirky bars and places to stay isn't it? We got married in a church, then had a catamaran up the coast for 2 hours and sailed back into the harbour at sunset. We then had a meal in the harbour area with a terrace overlooking the harbour. And then we had a VIP section reserved in a posh disco bar and we danced the night away until 5am. It was a brill day and night!

So which part of Spain would you like to live in? Fair play to you and your OH for learning Spanish. It's a fantastic language isn't it?

I've never been to Spain so I can't compair but everyone says the French are horrible. Every time I've been they seem so friendly! Saying that, would be a completely different story if I lived there.

Just found on global test markets points are worth 5c each not 1. So half way to $50 not $10!
  • Morning,

It didn't help I don't think that I was there when the Iraq war broke out and they all thought we were American. I quote what one old man declared on the Lyon Metro one day "Je vais !!!!er sur les Americains!" - if you can guess what that means. We made a hasty exit!!!

Just been having my usual Wednesday read through Martin's email and see that the Hoxton rooms are going again tomorrow. Might give it a go, but last time I found it quite stressful I have to say!

Managed to check my credit report and all was well. The Next Directory showed up, but was all in green and said 'settled' so all looks good there. Now I just need to cancel it and wait for the Quidco £7 to come in :)

Must do some DooYooing today if I want to keep on track for my £10 a month, I'm still only on about £8.20!

Flower where have you been? Did you have a nice time? I've definitely got itchy feet at the minute!

Oh look the clever non-swear thing has blocked it out, even though it was in French! Well, basically he was going to wee on us

Morning all. Good news about the credit report Tete. I'm too scared to apply for mine.

OH comes over today, I'm a puddle of anticipation. Should be a lovely few days. Although he sounded positively offended that I had implied he owned trackie bottoms when I told him wheat he needed for center parks!

Todays to do list therefore is short:
    • Mi-info
    • One poll
    • Free scratchies
    • Wrap 19 parcels that need to be sent tomorrow
    • Go to the shop to get dad a birthday card
    • Email 2 RiSi swaps to apologise for the delay and package them up too
    • Do 1 Dooyoo review.
    • Leave work at 4, pick up OH, and go on a mid-week date night
Too excited to think about money! Which is bad because my bank balance looks a little ropey considering I was only paid on Friday! Luckily OH owes me £499, of which £260 will go into the bank, the other £240 I'm leaving out for my rent this month, and brother still owes me £168. Paypal might have sent the number to my bank account today, hope they have, then I can withdraw all the money, about £450 of it!

  • Aw bless you all excited for a midweek date! I take these things for granted, must be horrible for you.

You should definitely check your report though, especially while you can get £7 for it! If you haven't defaulted in the last 6 months (I think) all it'll say is your credit limit and current balance, you're paying them back so it should look fine. It was weird to see how people's finances link though, I was linked to dad because he's named on my car insurance and I wasn't expecting that. It's OK though, he's solvent!

I got refused for a credit card recently (wanted a cashback one). This concerns me what the A & L have done to my report. And I know ostritch isn't the way forward, but was kinda hoping I could get some good months behind me before I had to deal with it.

5 1/2 hours to go! Friday night is usually date night, but we'll be at Center parks this week, so no date night. We're going round for dinner with a friend of mine and his teacher gf on tuesday, I feel all grown up having a dinner party!
