i knew it would be yuck but i looked anyway yeugh worms. thanks to whoever posted the link with the pictures lol!

so little Oz has started rolling over with every opportunity, he's been able to roll onto his belly for a couple of months now, but only sporadically, now its ALL THE TIME and when he realises he can't actually move anywhere once he's on his front he starts crying and moaning, I know when he starts to crawl he'll be into everything and my head will be wrecked (as will the house) but at least he'll be able to amuse himself!

he's rolling onto his front at night now too which I worry about, I know someone posted about this a while ago, but what was the advice again?

We use Ashton and Parsons teething powders - our local chemists do them, boots or sainsburys pharmacy aisle. The come in a little old fashioned box, with 20 'wraps' of powder in wax paper. At your LO age I think you use half a wrap - my Ds used to open his mouth for them from when he was tiny, or you can pour half on a spoon. The texture is like icing sugar - it contains a variation of chamomile.

i think its the shock of having something poured in their mouths which calms them and amuses them for a while, I've been using them since LO was about 8 weeks and they generally work every time. i've been using teetha but today bought the ashton and parsons ones cos they're only £2.30 and teetha is £4.30.

  • Hi nadnad

I think for a while you should turn him onto his back when you find him on his tummy, but don't wake up just to check this - when you know he can roll back the other way, you can stop turning him.

I am baffled by some of the positions Elliot gets himself into in his cot  especially when we don't hear any shuffling on the monitor, but find he has turned 180 degrees :D
  • Elliot's nursery is doing a Christmas play in four weeks - and Elliot is going to be a star :D (proud mummy) I can't wait! :T :grinheart:grinheart:grinheart

  • nadnad my LO is about the same age as yours. I sometimes leave him to sleep on his belly. He has preferred it from being small, and although it is slightly dodgy, i haven't been worried about it. Oz is a clever LO doing all that moving. Sam is a bit late with it i think. Mainly because DS1 gets so much stuff out there is not a lot of room for him to move around. He's only rolled over twice so far, and has a paddy about it. He is really good at sitting though. Swings and roundabouts with what they learn isn't it. HE's doing the go into crawling position from sitting by throwing himself forward, and i find that scary as DS! was several months older for that. I don't want to get the baby gate back out for the kitchen, but i know it is coming soon. I've got out of practice with babyproofing as DS1 is so good and doesn't really mess with much.

well done little elliott too, mummy already knew he was a star though i bet ;)
